With the demise of the Members Introduction thread, I thought I'd say hello here.

My name is James, I'm English, born in the North (Leeds) and living in London. I'm moving to Kamakura next year, followed by Tokyo, because of my Girlfriends job. Don't know how I'm going to earn money yet. I think I may try out being a kept man (doubt I'll get away with it!).

I'm an Engineer, but plan to teach English until my Japanese improves sufficiently (been studying for 8 months now).

I'm very excited about moving to Japan, never been before but always been fascinated.

This site and forum is a great resource, I'm still catching up on the way things work around here. I apologise for any newbie mistakes.
