Hi, for years now I've been playing Kira Kira Music Hour and Music Night (DS games derivated from the Pinky St collectibles). It's a rhythm game with tracks from various genres. Some are under the umbrella term "retro". I vaguely identified them as older styles of Japanese music, but, out of curiosity, wondered what are the names of the more precise genres they belong to.
