I was listening to morning edition on NPR this morning; they were talking about how a growing number of psychologists are starting to determine what makes people happy, and some researched by using a Palm Reading. They studied kidney-disease patients and healthy people and found out that the patients were as happy as or even happier than healthy people.
They said people are happy when they are engaged(not a pledge to marry, but participated).
I am interested in human psychology and thought it was very interesting. I get easily happy by small things like just being in the woods and get dirty, being busy and productive at work, or making dinner successfully. Those are the things I actively do, but I also get happy when I see my husband, my dog, or people I know smiling and laughing.
Measuring happiness seems impossible, but I thought it would be interesting to know what makes other people happy.
Does anybody want to share your opinion?
