Posted there and now Hezam is off on another tangent that was unrelated to the original topic thinking that we were talking about the death penalty being right or wrong now! I give up anyway, there seems to be no scientific or logical thought going on here at all.

I'm genuinely interested in this presentation, mohamed, and I promise not to ridicule it or anyone here. Ask Hezam -- I think he'll tell you that I might poke a little fun, but don't ridicule people.
I have no idea what will be said, but if there is a demonstration of a fact or phenomenon, any conclusion derived from that fact or phenomenon should satisfy Occam's Razor. Occam's Razor is a principle of science and law that says that if there are two or more possible explanations, the simplest and more common explanation should be preferred.
When people see UFOs, some of them prefer to think that they just encountered alien spacecraft. There are, however, other explanations that are more common and simple -- atmospheric disturbance, human aircraft, weather balloons, satellites, and so on. With no persuasive evidence going one way or another, Occam's Razor tells us that alien spacecraft probably were not what the people saw.

Well, I don't have it pulled out yet, I'm just tempted sometimes!
As for Roland, he might not ridicule things much, but if you're posting things about moons splitting in half and all sorts of random stuff that has been scientifically supported to be impossible to happen, just cause you read it in a book of desert fairy tales... Yeah, I'm gonna start laughing.

I think we should not ridicule other people's beliefs. Religion is a part of our cultural identity and core being, for many people. Ridiculing these things only hurts and threatens people.

If someone looks me straight in the face and says I am going to burn in hell forever, deserve to suffer for eternity because I don't believe what they believe, and they can prove that an imaginary sky daddy split the moon in half, then they should be happy they get me ONLY laughing at them and walking off.

The way I look at it, my fate does not depend on whether they say I'm going to burn in hell forever. If they are right, it will be God's judgment, not theirs.
I note that there has been some discouragement of proselytizing by forum management. If that behavior is to be discouraged, then I humbly suggest that ridiculing people's beliefs is not exactly good manners either. Ridicule makes people afraid to speak -- and further imagine if you're in the disadvantageous position of communicating in a foreign language.
If some people are afraid to post, then won't the forum turn into a place where everyone says the same things? It would be more harmonious that way, I guess, but a lot less interesting. Just a thought to consider.

The purpose of this forum is to entertain. If reason is not reciprocated and all your arguments are rejected on laughable, erroneous grounds, they only thing left that you may derive pleasure from is ridicule. Complicit agreement in people suffering forever is shared blame. If I do die, and there is a God that says, "Well, sure you tried to help people and lived a life the best way you could... but you didn't believe in my as a God, so I send you to hell forever instead," then it will be time that God needs a few caps in his ***.
Roland you act as if I'm mocking an entire culture. I'm not. If someone makes an insane argument, with no logical support, evidence, or anything, then makes threats based on an unproven personal view of the ENTIRE STRUCTURE OF THE F'ING UNIVERSE... then they should be glad I even laugh, because that means I wasted time listening to their insanity.
Culture, personal arguments, and choosing to be offended by someone not agreeing with your statements which you hope to impose on the world. Don't mix these up.

If you post a legitimate and well supported argument, of course no one in their right mind will mock you.
However, if you post some totally bat-**** insane rant that you cut-pasted from a fundamentalists website about goats eating some old cheese and crapping out a holy asteroid field in the form of a secret message from God or something then claiming it is supported science then... yeah, I'm probably gonna mock your post.

I swear, before I die I really am going get high on something like PCP to start a religion. I'll say that I made the moon blow up completely, and rearranged the face of the earth. Apparently, I'll actually have a chance of getting tons of followers!
Anyway, we are still waiting for this "amazing scientific proof" Mohamed. Well, maybe some are waiting. I'm just expecting some equally moon-splitting insane bull crap spouted off in a wall of text that is painful to read as a human being.

Yet another massive logical brain failure. Not that I'm surprised after the previous whacko stuff you've posted though.
Even if you somehow:
1) Scientifically proved the existence of a creature that we could call a "god"
2) Scientifically proved that somehow it controlled the minds of people in a desert to write it's thoughts
This doesn't actually make the words TRUE, (because anything can still be said or written) and it STILL has to be supported by evidence. (One billion dollar bet you didn't even understand this)

Let me be the first moody little poster to say (even before Derfel!), show your so-called scientific proof Mohamed, or shut up and get out. If I had been one of them, I'd have told Mohammed to prove it by giving me a million dollars, or maybe fifty beautiful women. I mean, really, why would you ask for the moon to be split? Seems to me that somebody in that story wasted a wish.
