Actually, as I was growing up, I use to think of Japan as a crap load of farm fields, with small or large wars; similar to those of the mid-evil knight eras.

But as I got older and begin to learn more about history, I would expect nothing less of what you see in the United States.

Well, I've been in Japan, and many fabulous pictures come to mind, mostly the glass and steel monoliths of Tokyo, Mount Fuji, bullet trains, cherry blossom trees in full bloom to the gorgeous ancient temples and gaggles of schoolgirls in their immesurably cute sailor suits and floppy socks!
