During WWII, Tatsusaburo Suzuki helped Dr. Yoshio Nishina enrich uranium at Nishina's Riken laboratory in Tokyo. After the war, Nishina was detained and his cyclotrons destroyed. But what happened to Nishina's assistant, Suzuki? Did he remain in Tokyo or, as I suspect, did he flee to Manchuria for a period of time, just as many other Japanese did?
