What happened to Mars Man-san?

I have not seen Mars Man-san's post since at the beginning of last month and I have been worried so much.

Why? Because of the disaster, around July 18th, caused by the heavy rains in Nagano Prefecture , where he lives . I've heard lots of houses were washed away and flooded cars are still lying abandoned, and several people died.

I don't know him personally, but reading lots of kind comments he posted welcoming new members, I have been his "secret fan", so please, anyone, if you know how he is doing, let me know.

By the way, did I post this in a proper thread?

This seems to be a proper thread, even though it's a bit more serious than the usual "chit-chat" fare. I'm also worried, since he didn't leave any departing message or anything. I'm not sure what part of Nagano-ken he is in, but I hope all is well for him and his family.

He seemed very involved with the board management and trying to reform the way things were being run so I just assumed when that didn't really work out he eventually gave up and left along with a few others...

I miss MM, though, too and hope he's too busy on some great adventureous camping vacation at the beach for a university-free second half of the summer !

Mars Man is OK and working hard on his home.

Like many of us, he was very upset over the civil war we have been through the past month or so. He hopes to finish his work soon and return to us. Bottom line, he's fine.
