mutilate, torture, and murder women ? WTH are you talking about ?

Are you denying that Muslim women have been tortured, disfigured, and murdered for not adhering to Hijab?

And in return,Do you think the Jews have the right to kill all palestinians and occupy their land because of the Holocaust ??

No, I don't think killing is okay. I think killing over cultural, political, and religious differences is retarded. My ancestors had experience with people being killed because of petty differences.

I'd like to think that Benjamin Netanyahu is a psychopath for the way he treats human lives. I also think that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have too many screws loose in his head. I think the two should go sit in time out and reconcile their petty bullshit, the same goes for the Middle-East in general.

i never been in Arab country.first i think shouldn't look & think about people just because of their country....

then i think in many countries as Arab one and Iran, too Just going to Show Islam badly....

Eg: women can't drive,But why???!!!!!! it is too silly thing,& too unfortunately Many look at these as Islamic Laws,Whereas it is not. (Hopely these silly rules are Not in my county🙂)

.......then i know many Muslims women & man in European country& American one,too that was threated to Die & was injured just because of their religion and women for wearing headscarf. so I believe there is Not Quite freedom in any country.....

I have never been in an Arabic country. I think people shouldn't judge people because of the country they reside in.
I think that many countries, such as Arabic ones, and Iran are going to shine Islam in a negative light. Eg: Why can't women drive? They are too silly of matters, unfortunately many consider these Islamic laws, whereas that is not the case(I hope these silly rules are not enforced in my country).
I know many Muslim women and men in Western countries that had their lives threatened and were injured just because of their religion, and women for wearing a headscarf. I believe there is no freedom in any country.
It depends on the people you encounter, Zahra. I cannot deny that there are idiots in the USA that might be prejudiced against Muslims. While some of it can be attributed to cultural shock, there is a reason to be concerned, considering that women are oppressed and abused in quite a few Arabic countries.
I for one supported the building of a Mosque down the street from my house, because Muslims have the right to worship whatever they want. I believe in freedom of religion. However, I do not support Muslim women being abused for not adhering to Hijab. This is just not a religious problem, but a cultural one too.

Yes freedom of Religion is Excellent,by the way i think the result of Mixing Culture with Religion really can be worst....Also you are right if a woman don't want to have Hijab shouldn't be any insist for keep it But Also in other hand when a Woman wants to Have Hijab should be Safe too.Eg: when wants to leave house, shouldn't be worried of irony from other....Hope some they all things be Equal for all.

Well i haven't been in an Arab country before, but living in Turkey, i know many things about Arabian culture. It has pros and cons like every culture but recently cons are somewhat more than pros, result of the current political shape of the world. Religion, being the worst thing in Arabian culture, is not in many aspects derived from "original Islam". If you look closely, each nation in the middle east are have different understandding of Islam, which is shaped by current political figures. Before Islamic revolution in Iran, it wasn't bad living there, you could do whatever you wanted, in Saudi Arabia, before oil became important as today, people just lived as they wanted.. But with the religious figures taking power, and supported secretly by other nations who wanted puppet governments in middle-east, religion became the center of the government, and they changed Islam how they wanted, preventing women freedom was a good way to ensure new generations raised in fear of slavery and oppression, thus becoming sheep, all they had to do was obey.. And this created today's Arabic countries.. And this is the reason Arabic countries look so bad.. Before Islamic revolutions, if you knew someone from Arabic culture & lifestyle, you would easily like them.. Because they were gentle and good people.. Their culture about social & family relationships, lifestyle, understanding is better than most other cultures.. They are still like that, but not against "infidels"of today, because they are not allowed.. But they seem to rebel against oppression slowly, i think we will see a new middle-east soon...

I think they are not much different than other people. We can often see news on TV about terrorists as Arab people. Yes, it might be true, but those people don't represent the majority, they are only a few dumb people who give a general bad reputation to all Arab people.

I know several Arab people, and they are very nice people.

A few cretins does not a population make, anymore than a few rednecks represent the entire U.S.A.

I know several Arab people, and they are very nice people.
I know this may be insane, but there are Arab people living right across the street, and they're absolutely fine people. In addition, I've had dozens even hundreds of Arabic classmates through primary to secondary school.
Anybody who thinks the majority of Arabic people are terrorists is likely not worth listening to, as they are undoubtedly an idiot.

But still, they are majority in many ways.. Thats not their fault, but still it discourages Arab people to consider living in other countries or knowing foreign people..

Should I feel discouraged from moving to the UK because some Britons hate Americans? Or visiting Japan because some Japanese hate Americans? I don't think so at all. The same applies to Arabic people wishing to live in the USA or other Western countries.

Find a nice community, get to know a good amount of people in it, move in, enjoy life.

I'm not saying "lets create a love circle with flowers around it and let the Arab share our love", just stating the fact ^^ I'm not even Arab or Muslim, but just because i live in Turkey and they think Turkey is a all-muslim-like-Arab country, at first people are somewhat scared or sceptical about me unless I make advancement and let them know myself.. Its even harder for those living in Arab countries to overcome this prejudice..

I agree some,I can't say any special comment about Arabic countries,But about Iran & Islamic revolution,You can be right & Not,too. during the" Reza Shah" Government There was a Rule wich was that women can't have Hijab in Outside home!(street,...can't enter university with it- same with Now in TURKEY-NO??<i mean just last one>) then if Governments officers saw any women with Hijab ,would attack them & Take off it So it made many women to stay just home,& many people were killed in many cities special in GOHAR SHAD Mosque in Mashhad, just because of that they were against this rule.... and during his Son's Government(Mohammad Reza Shah) this Rule was cancled,Maybe Women who had Hijab could come to street But had many other problems,too.....
Plz s.one help me,my knowledge about history (special recent one)in Arabic countries & Government is too least.Islamic revolution has Happended when there??(i mean who was leader of it & Which year??) Forgive me that i don't have any information about it.:p

>>>>Before Islamic revolution in Iran, it wasn't bad living there, you could do whatever you wanted
i wasn't born that time...ha ha! Could be perfect for all except local one,ha ha!

I don't know what to tell you, Ather. I don't think Turkey is an "all-Muslim" country. You have to remember, that the Star and crescent is recognized as a symbol of Islam. The misconception that if you're Muslim if you're from Turkey is really not that far of a stretch, all things considered. The close proximity to certain Arabic nations might lead the uninformed, perhaps uneducated, to conclude that everybody in an area around certain countries are heavily Muslim.

However, I can tell you right now, you will find hundreds of towns in the USA where you won't suffer xenophobia beyond the initial stage of being a stranger to a community. Including mine, but it's a secret.

About the Crescent and Star,You may need to read this :
Crescent - Wikipedia

In the Ottoman Empire (Osmanli Calipha) they used the Crescent and Star as a symbol,In the earlier Islamic Emprires they used this one :

I already read up on the Star and Crescent on Wikipedia..

Thanks Hezam, i was going to explain that, thanks for doing that for me =) As the article says,Islam took the crescent and the star as as symbol from Ottoman Empire, not vice-versa. Since Ottomans were in control of a very large land mass and biggest Muslim country, its symbol became to recognized as Islam's.

Anyway, I'm aware things are easier for Turkish people because people at least know a thing or two about Turkey, but i can't say the same about Arabians. Of course there are many people that are educated and not racist, but still, one bug in the kitchen makes it filthy =( It's the same for every country i guess..

Uhhh crazy question here.. why would you talk about Ottoman history in Math class anyway?

It doesn't matter whom took what from whom, Ather. The star and crescent is undoubtedly seen as a symbol of Islam these days. A prevalent example of this is the swastika. For centuries, even much longer than that, it was considered a symbol of good luck, well-being, and etc. A country committed genocide, and waged war with it as their symbol. It's now a symbol of hatred in many countries.

So, while it may have been a symbol of the Ottoman Empire, it can only be described as such in terms of history. Like i said, you'll just have to forgive people for their misconception of Turkey, and explain it to them if the chance comes around.

I forgot East Turkistan:

OK,Let's back to topic....hmmm,yeah Arab people by the way.

?

1- There is a name over my Avatar so it's not polite to to say THAT when you can see his/her name.
2- If you have a simple historical background of Islamic history you wouldn't say that above.

This map is during the reign of Haroon Ar-rasheed (Abbasid Caliphate) :

Can you see Ahwaz ? close to Al-Basrah in Iraq.

This map is during Al-Mushashaea State Arabistan (1436-1724) :

The king was Muhammad bin Falah bin Hibatullah who make (Hwaizah) as a capital for his state.

During the Safawi state they occupied Arabistan and they kept the name as it's and this name continued until the 20th century after the Bahlawi state changed the name to Khuzestan.

In the earlier days of the 20th century the Gajaria state Arabistan parted into two,One in the north (North Arabistan) with these cities ( Dezful,Shushter,Ramhurmuz),And one in the south with these cities ( Ahwaz,Falahia,Hwaiza,Hindian ).

And finally in Iran ( Bahlawi ) period they changed the name from Arabistan to Khuzestan.

Could you study your history before asking such question !!

And this is what's happenning to Arab in Arabistan now :
Ahwazian Revolution Information Center

Does that answer your question ?
( when ? how ? and from whome !? )

And by the way I am Yemeni living in Saudi Arabia.
