I recently bought this for a friend as a present, and now I'd like to know what it actually says behind the sword. If anyone could tell me, I'd appreciate that =)

Greetings!

It just says "Kill Bill", only written in one of the two basic Japanese character sets... in this case the set called katakana. The exact pronunciation would be "Kee-ru Bee-ru".
