Appreciates some JP experts who could help me understand the meaning/ implication of this character's dialogue !
Story: After the military meeting from yesterday, a small clan leader 桃香 and the province governor 曹操 lead the Alliance army's all out offensive to take 汜水関 castle. According to the plan proposed by the leader of the Alliance 袁紹, the province governor 曹操 will lead the 1st wave attack, the small clan leader will follow on the 2nd wave attack. But when they attack, they found no one left inside enemy's castle on 汜水関.
(*Note about characters relationship:
-protagonist is working for the small clan leader 桃香, together with his strategist 朱里
-陳珪 is military strategist of province governor 曹操)
汜水関の絶望的な戦いに身を投じるはずだった曹操は、一兵の損害を受けることもなく水関を制圧していた。
第二陣として控えてた俺たちは、関の出口の警備に回った曹操の依頼で、残ってる人がいないかの調査を手伝ってたんだけど…
汜水関は、昨日までの状況が嘘みたいに、完全に放棄されていた。
桃香「曹操さん。これって……どういう事ですか？」
陳珪「洛陽の南……荊州で、劉表殿が動いたという情報があったのです」
陳珪「既に城や関を三つ落として、洛陽にあと城二つまで迫っているそうですわ」
朱里「では……反董卓連合が陽動に使われたと」
曹操「半分は正解よ。素直に洛陽まで攻め入ってくれる性格なら、まだ可愛げもあるのでしょうけれどね」
一刀「まさか、昨日の時点でそれを知ってたから……」
曹操「連合の盟主殿にも、たまにはいい目を見せてあげても良いでしょう？」
