Hey Jref folks,

Long time no post. Need a bit of quick help.

I remember about a year or two ago I found a website (community or some sort) where a language learner can post sentences/essays and someone will correct it for you, in exchange for a fee depending on the size of the request. Additionally, on the other end, the corrector/native/pro can receive money for correcting others' sentences/essays. I don't remember if Japanese was the only language or not.

At any rate, I can't seem to find that website anymore, and perhaps someone here may know of it (or another similar). Thanks for any help!

I recommend Lang-8.
If you post something in a language you're learning, member who is a native speaker or a fluent speaker will correct errors and/or give comments.
No fee/payment is involved, though.

Thanks for the reply, undrentide.

I do know about Lang-8 (I'm a member), and it's a great site, but unfortunately for this request, I am looking for one that specifically involves payment.

I'm trying to see if my stay-at-home wife (Japanese) can earn some money doing this. Have to take care of the baby at home, so seeing if there's something she could do at home.

Well, she CAN join the Livemocha affiliates (in the process of becoming one - they offer English, Spanish, Japanese, etc), but I really can't tell you much about the affiliates 'till I become one for sure (I don't know how much the pay is)...

Nieves and Co,

Thanks for the reply. Looks interesting, but probably not the kind of stuff she's looking for.

But looking at that site, it's making me wonder whether the site I've seen before was whether it was for correction, or in fact, for actual translation. I guess getting paid for translation would be an option also.

Thanks for any help so far!
