Translate the following into Japanese

よし、他の文章は?最初のはもう訳してもらったんじゃない?

書き方がちょっとかたいけど、話題に合うと思う。「原因なのである」の「なの」は必要ないかもしれない。 any second opinions?

edit: I see you edited your post with your second sentence. I'll take a look and post a separate reply but I'm going to bed soon.
その違いが、よく分からないけど。。。「なので」の方が丁寧な言葉だと思う。「で」って言うともっとドラマチックな感じがするかな。もう少し強い印象が生まれる ...😌
確かに、「なので」の「なの」自体にはあまり意味はない場合が多いと思うけど。。。

それで、丁寧さだけに差があるような感じがすれば、断定の度合いが弱くなるかも。。。:p

ranslate the following sentences into Japanese.
1)The current economic downturn has caused many multinational corporations to become insolvent.
2)Benjamin Benenke, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank, is known as Helicopter Ben because his economic policy revolves around printing money out of thin enough to cause hyperinflation.
Although the Fed apparently still has the flexibility to withdraw its record cash injections (Quantitative Easing program) in time to revive credit but largely restrain prices. The question is, can they "unwind" the balance sheets before this party gets totally out of control. :p 訳してみたいよ!😌:p

Wow, I love all of your superior translations for the second sentence. I know that mine sounds very unnatural, especially when I tried to write at the level above where I am. I wrote without any intuitive sense how a Japanese person would actually say it. But you guys all managed to write it with flow. I like it. Thank you very much.

この場合の「なので」には特に丁寧さはないと思います よ。

原因だ。原因なのだ。
原因です。原因なのです。

どちらも丁寧さには差が感じられません。

「なの」を使うと発言が強調されるので、「なの」がな い文に比べると
それこそドラマチックな印象を与えます。:)

ドルの下落が続く限り金融緩和を続けると、中国にとっては、圧力が強くなるけど、
米国債買い続けるでしょう。「唯一の選択肢」に変わりないから。。。

I think it's less and less correct as you go along, but at least the point is very much there. Anyone up for the English side ? :D

😌

Thanks guys and gals, you have all been great. I now have finished working on my third sentence. Now this one was a bit tough for me. I have indicated where I am facing trouble. Please take a crack at it!

3)オバマ大統領は、中国が沢山の多国籍企業のクレテット・デファルト・スワップの持ち主だから、仕方がなく国民が払った税金を使って沢山の多国籍企業を倒産しない様に救いました。 (I had a bit of trouble finding the appropriate word to translate bailout due to my poor Japanese language skills. I am sure that the Japanese popular media has a techical terms for bailout that I am unaware of. I wonder if there is a Japanese word for taxpayer? I had to compromise and write that Obama had to unfortunately use the money that citizens had to pay in taxes instead. I am sure that this was a round about wordy way to write it, and that a native speaker would never write in this manner. この文章の表現の仕方が一寸可笑しいと思います。不自然でしょう。

Bailout is probably technically something along the lines 救済

But you can normally abbreviate this nicely to ((緊急)融資による)(緊急)支援(策) or whatever. I'll check some old news articles in the meantime. ☝

credit default swaps: クレジット・デフォルト・スワップ/CDS (as nekojita-san wrote)
major multinational corporations: 多国籍大企業
taxpayer: 納税者

How 'bout this ?? 🙂

中国が沢山の多国籍大企業のクレジット・デフォルト・スワップの持ち主だから、オバマ大統領は、公的資金によろ、いろいろな民間企業に対する(緊急)支援(措置)を実施するよりほかしかたがなかった。

Thank you again. Elizabeth, your sentences are very good!:) They seem natural and is very smooth. My sentences have ways to go in terms of bringing it a natural feel.
