I hope it is nothing and that everything will be all right.

I concur with Frank - and wish you well.

If it makes you feel any better, I have recently been very concerned about shadows and nodules on my lungs, and "things" that took place at the other end of my scrawny body too.

I've now been through the whole gamut of tests ... all of which worked out fine.

I think you'll find that most doctors these days err on the side of caution ... and your worries are probably unnecessary but understandable, of course. - if the 'doc is really concerned, you'd probably know.

The most important thing is .. that your doctor is aware ! Keep us in touch.

Thank you Sensuikan san, I've been through a lot of test, recently. One of the test was done by fine needle (fine needle aspiration) which was quite creepy when you think.

Today I am very worried about....

...the people driving on the road. Tonight is my last night of driving before the holiday rush. Traffic will be heavier than usual. I worry someone may fall asleep, cross the median or cross into my lane of traffic and may be severely injured or killed by the truck I am driving. I always worry about that and hope that I am not destined to be someone's executioner.

If you are driving tonight, stay alert, take a break if you feel sleepy and please stay out of a truck's blind spots. If you pass a big rig on a downhill, please do not slow down in front of us as we cannot slow down as quickly as you, and if you are getting on an interstate, please get up to speed before you merge into traffic. Please do not enter an interstate at 45 mph when the speed limit is 65 or 70. It will be so much safer for all involved. Use your signals when getting off the interstate so we can slow down as we can not always move to the next lane. And always try to anticipate what the other driver will do. It will make my nite that much safer. Thanks.

Good advice, Pachipro.

I have to admit, trucks scare me... ☝ I try to keep my distance. If I do get around them, I make sure I have the side mirrors in sight...

Be careful, Pachipro!

What I'm worried about right now, though, is my chocolate intake. I'll be doing another 45 minutes on the stationary bike. :p

Chocolate isn't a worry. It should be a pleasure, especially if it is Dark Chocolate.. mmmmmmm dark chocolate :homer:

Timely and good advice.

I think the problem with a lot of folks is that they don't respect, or even have a clue about what driving a heavy rig entails. They forget that the cool little move they make in traffic in a sub-compact can entail a down change of six or seven gears for the poor bugger in the Kenworth that they've just cut off ...!

Friday

Some people are dog lovers and some are cat lovers. Me, I have had both in my life and cherished each one.

Today I am very worried about my dog "Friday". She is nearing the end of her life and I am really going to miss her. It seems her hips are going out and they are beginning to fail her. She cannot go down steps anymore or jump on the bed so we have to pick her up. It is even becoming difficult for her to lay down, but she manages. What surprises me is that she doesn't seem to feel any pain as she never yelps or cries out when her back legs fail her. For this I am grateful. I will take her to the vet next week for what may be her final check-up. Her hearing started to fail her last year and she is almost deaf, but not quite. She even lost a front toe to cancer about a couple of years ago. But through it all she remains her own jovial self. One great thing about animals is that they go on with their life regardless of their handicaps. From her actions one would never know she is almost deaf, having hip problems, or had lost a toe.

I found her a little over 14 years ago on my way home from work as I almost ran over her with my car. Since there were no houses around I decided to keep her. It was a Friday evening so I named her "Friday." She couldn't have been more than 8 weeks old according to the vet. The vet couldn't figure out what kind of dog she was. He finally settled on Doberman/Shephard.

She has been my constant companion from that day foreward. If I look down at my feet as I type this and she is there. When I awake she is there. Wherever I am she is there. She's excited when I come home and sad when I leave. In 14 years she has never once showed her teeth, become angry or attacked another dog or cat. We've played ball and the frisbee and have taken many a long walk together, but in the last year those days are long gone.

Man did she love the ball, especially a soccer ball. I even remember the kids in the neighborhood ringing the doorbell asking if Friday could come out as she was the best soccer goalie they ever had. Honest! She would stand in front of the net while the kids tried to kick the ball past her. Rare was the time one of them would score a goal. What a sight that was.

I feel for my wife as she never had a pet before and it will really devastate her when the final day comes. My only hope is that maybe she will pass away in her sleep.

At least we will have great memories of what is truely "man's best friend." Hopefully she will stick around a little longer.

Wow, Pachipro... that brings a tear to my eye. Im feeling for you... she looks like a really sweet dog, you are so lucky to have had her for such a long time!
Im sure she has enjoyed every day of her life with you, and is eternally grateful.
Do you have more pics for us to see?
If I could, I would give you the HUUUUGEST hug, but there is a bit of distance and sea between us, so you will have to imagine instead.
I hope you can squeeze in many more fantastic memories!

I'm worried i'm becoming irregular despite all the fiber i've been eating lately... Haven't dropped the kids off at the pool in a couple days now if ya know what I mean... (sorry, only thing that came to mind at 4am 8-p). 😌

What you need my dear, is lots of spicy food and dairy! Unless thats just because I have to avoid it???
But yes, I do believe that super spicy food will enable you to regulate at a much faster rate... if all else fails eat lots of bananas and oranges and pretend to go for a long run (running past lots of public conveniences on the way).... should do the trick!
Otherwise, come to Korea and I will give you my Ecoli Bacterial disease.... that will make you wish you never complained in the first place :D

Thank you for your hugs. I can feel them, regardless of the distance, in your kind and thoughtful words.

Good news about my nodule.
It wasn't cancer. 👍
Bad news is, I was told that my cholesterol is high.
I couldn't believe it because I thought I've been having a healthy diet.
But it's true that I've been eating a lot of heavy food, recently.
I'd better go back to Japanese style meal, or at least cut back cheese (especially blue cheese I like). :(

Ralian - I'm glad you are OK. My mum has high cholesterol. She takes a yoghurt drink called danacol, I think it helps.

Rich - I don't know how you feel because I got married at 21 - BUT I think you have to put your personal life before your career. To me work is just to earn money, and it is the time I spend with my husband and pets (and hopefully soon, kids) that is important. And don't worry about your hair - some women like bald men! After seeing your picture in the 'post your pics' thread I'm surprised you're having problems - you're cute! 😊

Anyway, like Frank I always worry about my husband and pets. I can't concentrate at work until I get an e-mail from my husband so I know he has gotten to work OK. And I always worry about my health, even though I don't feel ill!

Thank you Tsuyoiko.
Yoghurt drink sounds good.
I'll try. :-)

I am worried that the project I am working on won't finish on the proposed deadline, and we are already expecting to exceed the budget.
Meaning over-time work or an angry management.....

very kind...

This is good advice - I have a yoghurt-based smoothie every day with my fruity breakfast.
Good to hear Ralian is in the clear.

Thanks for your kind words,Tsuyoiko.
It would be hard to give up my career though - it's the only way I'm going to transcend my country bumpkin roots!

I'm very worried about the mathematics course I'm about to take, it's Brief Calculus and Matrix Algebra, some sort math that deals with the social sciences. I'm worried because I'm horrible when it comes to math and it seems like each time I take it the more difficult it gets and the less sense it makes. :( I mangaged to pass my College Algebra course over the summer and this was my third time taking it. 😭 I don't know what's wrong with me, it just won't click for some reason. 😭

I never really got on with maths myself. Respect to you for even doing the subject. My algebra and calculus has faded over the years.

don`t worry. It`s not as hard as it seems. Just at the very beginning pay attention to basic definitions and axioms, the rest of lemmas and theorems based upon them and simple logic rules. Besides in many cases you just have to learn how to use mathematical apparatus in applied science and don`t have to know what really integral or derivative is.
In matrix algebra just don`t mix rows with columns :D (kidding) - the same: understand the basics and will be able to bild the rest 🙂

How I miss matrix algebra. I would love to diagonalise a matrix right now! That is my idea of fun! 😊 👍

Thank you all for words of encouragement I feel much better now. I do understand a few things in Algebra, like the Quadratic Equation and the Scientific Notation stuff. I just hope I know how to use my calculator in time, because it'll be much harder. Goodness, Tsuyoiko you sound like my algera professor. She said she could draw graphs and solve equations all day. ☝

Whoa !!!!!

My neighbor just came over to tell me someone tried to break into his house last night and they stole a big weight lifting set outside his garage. Then a few other neighbors joined us to talk about stolen bikes and other small things all around our neighborhood I spotted kids doing drugs outside my house last week and the neighbor saw 2 carloads dealing drugs outside his house. For 20 years our street has been quiet & safe, looks like a crime wave has started? Man, I hate the feeling of having to worry about having my space invaded and property bothered. All of us are installing the motion detecting lights on our houses & garages and keeping our eyes & ears open.
I may start giving shooting lessons to the neighbors soon, good ol USA !

Frank

:( 😭
