Who can tell me something about the knited dress market of Japan, do the Japanese like wearing knitted clothing? Whether there were some corporations want to seek garment processing company to establish business relation, if you have some ideas of that, please speak out for discussiond. Looking forward to your replying!

hmm, I'm sure I've seen a lot of knitted goods, but haven't taken much notice of them; it really depends on the demographic.

A search for 編み物, knitted stuff, brought up this site: 手づくりタウン│日本ヴォーグ社

Also found a list of handmade goods blogs here: 編み物(個人) 人気ブログランキングとブログ検索 - ハンドメイドブログ

There was also a recent movie that featured a lot of knitting (but it's really weird), called Wool 100%

In the states, knitted stuff is pretty popular on sites like www.etsy.com

Knit is not particularly popular compared with other type of garments, but there are enough of knit wear in Japan.
And many of them (especially hand-knitted ones) are made in China. They are typically designed in Japan and the actual work (knitting) is done in China.

If you're looking for a business opportunity, JETRO can be very helpful.

I was aware that people of Japan don't prefer knit. They are basically very traditional and use to wear that type of cloths only. I think their is always have some differences when the country use to change but it is very interesting to know all this.
