What are some of Japan's specialty herbs ?
Also where can I buy the seeds for them?
Also for potato seedings, what are some popular Japanese names . I want the ones that are a little bigger then the small sizes.

thanks

I finally got ahold of a free garden lot. Lady isn't charging me. Wow!

Japanese potato primer
But there are a ton of local varieties. Maybe "Kitakamui" is closest to the kind you find in most US supermarkets?

hey guys thanks for all the help.
Today l bought a bag of potato seeds. l ll post a picture of later. Aparently they look like Hokkaido brand . Cost 600 yen for them. By the looks of it , doest look like many here grow potatoes.

In the U.S. potatoes would be the #1 waste of garden space in my opinion. 2kg of potatoes cost about $3 or less.

Here potatoes can run as high as 70 yen each. I know they take some space but I wanted to grow them due to their cost. Also I'll try my luck with sweetcorn . Which I can land some land where I can grow some watermelon. They are expensive. About 22 to 34 bucks a piece here.

Today I planted the Hokkaido potatoes. The 2 kilo bag was about 35 potato seeds.
Also today I bought some heirloom Aomori garlic which I hope to plant tomorrow. Its not to late as I understand.
