Yahoo Japan is awesome for those things. I got the first press of Yurikago from them. I'm still waiting for it. There is a copy of their special x'mas demotape on there... it's starting bid 50,000 yen though... that is such a scam! :auch:

I'm still waiting for my first press of Yurikago XD it finally arrived in their offices now I just need the email saying how much I owe them for my 3 items, but one of them will more then likely get sold because I accidentally bought two copys of the same magazine XD

I saw that on Yahoo!Auctions Japan a while back. Someone started the demo tape at $100 but then it reached $500. Way too expensive for my tastes. ._.

have been listening to Rentrer en Soi since Yurikago. since then i always thought there's smth quite special about them, and their works proved that i'm quite right. despite having the "visual sound" in their songs, their somewhat were a bit different from the alot of the v kei bands. now they're dumping the visual image and turning into something i guess more heavy (according to the new singles), i think it would be quite exciting to watch. can't wait to hear their new album.

i hope they can make it there too, the sphire croid album was nicely done (i still haven't heard Kein and Astre mini albums cuz i can't find them online...). hard to hear an album that's all good these days.

I have to agree. I first heard Rentrer en Soi's Wither single back in 04 and I've been a fan ever since. The only other band that I like as much is probably D'espairsRay. Both bands seem to stick out from the whole VK scene imo. Of course I like a few other Vk bands, but I feel RES and D'ray have been the most consistent musically. Even with RES's new direction, they still seem to have their own "sound" imo.

Although, it does seem that all the jref music threads are kind of information-lacking. The Gazette thread has just turned into some fluff thread. If only these bands would release something new, then there would be more fantastical news.

I can't wait for the album. I thought it was going to be released at the end of April, but I was off by a month!

News...that is something I never get from JREF...
When someone does post news, it's like a race for who announced the info first...to give themselves some sort of Internet-forum-ego-boost. A lot of people don't support the bands by buying their music, so what's even the point of giving out release information? So they will know what day to start asking for someone to upload it? I'm sick of that. I'm also sick of so many people blatantly lying on JREF. The new layout is annoying, and the administration obviously thinks Visual Kei is a joke. I can't believe how arrogant people can be just because of their forum status!

There are numerous reasons for my dissatisfaction with this message board, but I will refrain from listing them all. What I'm trying to say is that I will no longer take part in any threads on here. I don't know why I decided to post this here (or even announce it at all), but I figure the few people I can stand read this thread at least and it would probably be polite for me to let them know of my departure! I get my news (and photos etc.) elsewhere. I communicate with friends I've made here via MySpace/AIM, so there's no point in prolonging the agony by continuing with this waste of time lol. I might use the private messaging on here for a while, so if anyone wishes to stay in contact with me then please write me on there!

Some people do support the bands by buying their music, it´s hard to follow what´s going on sometimes because there is such a width range of music available so we help each other by announcing info...

The new layout is changed only 5 days ago, so that there is more attention to ALL kind of music from Japan, and to make it more clear so it´s easy to find topics.

We do not think that Visual Kei is a joke, we only think that there should be more space for other kinds of Japanese music, that´s why we changed the layout.

That is not true. There has been one hell of a lot of serious consideration put into the recent changes to the j-music section, and some of the admins/mods have spent a lot of time and work in moving and merging threads. They put real thought into this, and didn't just shift things around randomly.

What I'm trying to say is that I will no longer take part in any threads on here.

Well, I will be sorry to see you go; your contributions were always good and interesting for me personally I can keep in touch via MySpace but it's sad that the forum will lose you.

If the administrators don't think VK is a joke then why did the description of the Chit-Chat section used to say something like 'section for discussions not relating to particular bands and for fangirlish ramblings'. Well the truth is I don't blame people who hate this section of the forum. It shameful how much it's deteriorated. It was never all that great to begin with, but I know there are a couple people here who really long for some healthy discussion. I always had hope the forum would push through, but I was wrong. It is too overrun. I wish there was a more mature following of the Japanese music scene. I know I'm not one to talk cause I'm not very mature but I'm truly very respectful of bands I follow and I spend my last pretty penny on supporting them all.

I also want to leave this forum to but I feel for some reason or other I have an obligation to this thread. I think cause there are so few forums or websites that are active and up to date. I think we've got the best RES thread around and they are my favorite band. So I won't leave this thread but don't expect me to be seen anywhere else unless it's for the sake of sarcasm, my own personal humor, or to laugh at someone elses expense... haha.

I won't miss Norm... we have sex everynight... we don't need jref for contact... haha don't ask
