Satsuki does sound alot like him in that new single, alittle too much so at times, I got freaked out. XDD

protoplasm new single??? or another new single??? i dont think he sounds like kyo?? yea... someone said it somewhere... satsuki has a higher pitch to his voice... kyo usually sings a lower octave i think??? it would be kinda creepy =P kyo's voice singing rentrer en soi's songs =P

Nope... they have another single Karasu Iro no Taiji being released this month and an album next month... I'm not sure what it's called it just says new album RENTRER EN SOI on their OHP... perhaps it's self titled. *ponders on this* Gah... I'm so excited... I wish the single was released before my birthday... oh well... it'll be like a late birthday present to myself... LOL.

Kyo and Satsuki have completely different voices... @_@ and Kinsao is right... it is hard to decribe the difference... but I mean it's clear they have very different voices... I think even their screams/growls/dying animal sounds are different XD ...I think Satsuki has more crisp/clear sound to his voice... also he doesn't need a moment to drastically change his voice it just flows... smooth and unbroken... a perfect transition. I think Satsuki has better control of his vocals as well.

Why is everyone comparing RES to Diru everywhere I go... it's a bit of a slap in the face to all their hard work. They are working so hard and they are so exhausted and everyone says there are too much like Diru. They are aiming to build a new and better RES... not a new and better Diru...

I know, it's just that one song to me though. I now have two of the ReS cds, and he doesn't sound a thing like Kyo in either of them, so yeah, I shut up about that now. XD

Haikyo to Kashita Hakoniwa on Kein no Hitsugi is a really good song, he does get all screamo and roar like, and then BANG, normal voice..almost like 1 second and it's changed, and I find that very talented. They sound nothing like Diru, not even on the harder songs, they have their own type o thing going, so people do need to drop that compairison..I was basing my judgement on the clip of that one single, and I was wrong, so I apologise to anyone who got hurt by me compairing Satsuki. I know that it is different now, because I got more songs, and I like them because they are ReS, they are not anything else..and Kein no Hitsugi is very much the proof of that.

Astre no Ito is more catchy then it is heavy, and I was very suprised how different their style was on this cd, compaired to Kein no. I really respect that they are not afraid to be so different, course, some of the slower songs are not so different, but those all of a life of their very own too.

What I am trying to say here IS, it is only that new single that I heard it, and in nothing else.

wooooo their new song is heavenly =D i think.... the reason it may kinda sound like dir en grey... is because of that last part.. sounds like something kyo does in his songs =) oOo thats the rap thing you guys were talkin bout huh?? yea... well its not LIKE kyo's voice...but maybe it just reminded you of dir en grey??? i dunno =P eh its okay +) we know that RENTRER EN SOI is RENTRER EN SOI and dir en grey is dir en grey =D

are they gonna release a darn pv -_- or dvd? man i want it!! =D

Hmm, I don't think RES has at all a sound like Diru! Anyway, I really love their variety... I still like Sphire-Croid better than Astre no Ito or Kein no Hitsugi... but I like them all... and Satsuki's voice is simply death... most particularly on Protoplasm... that one scream (that I think some of us referred to earlier XDD) just encapsulates the entire versatility of his voice. (<-- awestruck... lol)

Kyo is a great vocalist, but i've always loved Satsuki's voice a lot more. They sound completely different imo. Satsuki's voice is a lot more delicate and soft and Kyo's is a lot rougher.

I wonder if their new album will be better than Sphire Croid? From the sounds of Protoplasm and the new single, it might just surpass it, but we'll have to wait and see.

I dunno why I'm being so defensive... I've been so emotional lately... don't mind me... I'll just go it pie and cry and compose some morbidly depressing music... haha. I was joking with my friend that pie is the secret behind Satsuki's powerful lyrics... lol. For those who aren't famliar Satsuki once wrote in his journal that he was eating a slice of apple pie and he cried a single tear... haha... so cute. I don't remember what I said exactly but it was something like:

Takumi: you know we've written three songs, and you have yet to put lyrics to any of them? *glares*
Satsuki: I know... I know. These things take time, Takumi-kun. Don't rush me. You know I have to wait till I feel really tormented and emotional. Please, don't look so mean... you're hurting my feelings. T-T
Takuki: *rolls his eyes and walks off*

BRRRRRRNNNGGGGG!!!!!

Satsuki: *opens door* what the... *looks around confused before noticing the box at his feet* I didn't order anything. *picks up box and reads label* "To: Satsuki. From: Takumi." .................................. *crickets chirp* .................................. OMG!!! Yes, a present!!! *opens and takes out a letter and reads* "GET BUSY!!!" *picks up other box inside and opens it* P... p... piiie... *bawls crying and starts scribbling morbidly beautiful words all over the pie box*

HAHAHA... so yes... that's is the secret behind the profound, heartrenching lyrics. LOL.

I dunno... it depends on my mood... here lately I've been listening to Sphire-Croid alot more than anything else and also their re-make of INTO THE SKY... I've been stuck on it for days. I think Sphire-Croid without a doubt has the upper hand cause it's a full album so naturally there is more variety and diversity than the other works. We'll see with the new album if it has that same unmatched variety.

Oh yes... the "smites obfuscation" bit where he goes from the screaming to his normal voice to that simply angelic note... oh man... *dead*

protoplasm simply was a drop dead single.... i swear... i didnt know wat to expect... sphire croid is one of the FEW albums i can continue listenin and never get tired of... so i really didnt know whether protoplasm would live up to that.. but DAMN... haha i dunno... rentrer en soi... SOOO DAMN HORRIBLE =P theyve got some crazy skills up their sleeves... i bet we can all brace ourselves =P i dont think theyve showed us what theyre really made of yet =P

I got Champloo into Rentrer en Soi i'm so proud of myself. With the voice thing I mentioned it to Champloo because someone else had broughten it up to me and then I posted about it here. I just thought i'd get everyone's opinions on it is all.... I really want the Protoplasm single, but I can't afford it now after i bid on Yurikago 1st press

I don't think Dir en grey and Rentrer en Soi sound anything alike (like everyone else has said XD). I wasn't trying to compare, since there is no comparison. I like Satsuki's voice better, anyway. Hahahah, the first time I listened to Protoplasm, his voice was kind of soft, so I turned the volume up, and then he started screaming. I was like, "arrrgh!" since I had headphones on.


It seems like every band is releasing a new single or album this month and the next. Must be part of their plans to make everyone poorer. We all have to eat too! I might buy the new cd. Apparently the stakes are set very high for this new album (has not heard Sphire:Chroid).

Hahah, Coshh, "The end of Coshh is nigh" sounds so Shakespearian.

The lyrics I write for my band are humoristic, but mostly I like to take a topic and make a song about it like feminism(which is my favourite topic)
But I usualy write lyrics for certain music, if the lyrics are humoristic then the music is jumpy and dancy. And if the music is slow and bluesy I pick a topic that goes with the music

I'm sure free-will/JHR would think about it, they'd just want to make sure there was a big enough fan base. A petition would help that. I'd say it's worth a try.
