The strong winter weather pattern is forecast to persist for several days, with further snow accumulation expected, particularly along the coast of the Sea of Japan. Hefty snow is predicted inland on the Pacific side of the Tokai, Shikoku, and southern Kyushu regions, where snowfall is typically rare. Some areas in these regions may even see accumulation on the plains. Disruptions due to the snow are expected to continue across a wide area until around 8 Fe8 February.
