There is no "joke" that you are missing. I am simply making it known that the thread has been moved to a more appropriate forum. This thread was originally posted in the "All Things Japanese" forum so I moved it here. It is not uncommon for myself or Kirei for instance to move/edit/delete up to 5 or more posts a day...

And yes, and Advisor can become an Admin.

But why bother posting "moved"? Most people who find the thread will never know where it was originally. And posting "moved" won't help any of the original posters find it later, will it? Is that Thomas' policy?

*sigh* So that the original poster (and others) will know in the future to post such threads in the appropriate forums. There is no "official policy" but after moving numerous threads to more suitable forums for months on end without saying anything I quickly noticed that some members just didn't know better (or maybe didn't care) where and what they posted.

I made it my decision to inform others that the thread has been moved to a more appropriate forum when I move it, nothing more. And I always leave a redirect in the hopes of curbing the number of threads I need to relocate in the future.
