lol, I didn't get to eat any either! It must have been good though - when I went to get a piece it was all gone!

Miki, they are pretty nice drawings! 👍 You have a nice fresh quality of line, so the pictures don't look 'overworked' at all. :-) Specially the last one. I like the way you use a varying thickness of line but in a natural way, as though it just flows from the movement of your hand.

After living and breathing costumes and scenery for the last 3 months, the pantomime is finally over! 😌 And here are pictures of the scenery I painted... each one is 20' x 10', done in household emulsion on unstretched canvas. I couldn't stand back enough to get all the kitchen scene in shot, so I took 3 pics instead:

For the street scene, I stood further back but the quality of the pic isn't so good >.< (and the table is a stray prop blocking the line of houses in the background >.<) It's in a cartoony style because that's what the producer wanted:

I can't post pics of the costumes yet because I need to blur out the guys' faces for privacy reasons. :p

Sorry for double post 😌 but i thought i'd post my music here. :music:
This version has vocals by Gehn (so a collaboration, it isn't totally my work):

And this is the instrumental, my work only XD (the bass can be heard more in here ^^"):

I might have missed it throughout the thread, but are there more links to music you have made? I love listening to homerecorded music and would like to hear more of your recordings.

Thank you very much for the compliment, Satorian :) but I haven't made any more music yet! 😊 I've been really busy these last 3 months with various theatre stuff (in my post above, XD), and I've only made this, and one other little "piece" which is still lacking vocals (which I hope to record in the New Year ^^").

When I have my soundcard I will be able to produce better stuff, and with my own vocals! *can't wait XD* 😄

At the weekend I started work on constructing another piece, but so far I have only 1min made! 😊 *slow pace worker, it took me 1 hour XD*

Thank you for being interested, I'm happy that someone listened! 😄

Thank you Alma! I appreciate your comments. Yes, I paint too, but not that good. do you do any art work?

do not be so modest!
yes, i do lots of things, but for now, nothing so good for public eyes 😌 i draw and paint when i have time, and really love to take photographs. I actually created an account at deviantart, but haven't uploaded anything yet. mainly, all i do now is study.. can't wait any longer for that degree! then i hope i'll have plenty of time to focus on my hobbies

I really like your painting, Mars Man! 👍 It has a lovely composition. :-)

I've not done any drawing or painting recently :( just some little bits of photography, which can be seen here.

Thanks guys ! I feel like kind of hiding my face...hee, hee, hee... No, not as good as Dali, but I greatly appreciate the emotion.

Kinsao, I went to the link and then to your gallery, but I couldn't get one picture to show. I'll try again later.

I'll show a few more of my old paintings in the near future too.

Truly a man for all seasons!

Wow Mars Man! I didn't know you could paint! And can you ever! Is there anything you CAN'T do? Other than cultivate rice year in and year out, that is. :p

Thanks Mikawa Ossan ! Among the many things I cannot do, one is lead the little lady to understand whatever value or good there may be in being artistic or whatever.

OH,...and I have put a song for you there in the 'Listen to my audio blog' thread. It's not that good, but the idea is for you. MM

Mars man - lovely painting.

I did promise a few people a while ago to post some of the crafts I make - so at last here are a few...

The wood is a thousand years old and you don't need to do much to it for it to look beautiful.

These pieces and all the others I make are sold on the island, in Kagoshima and in selected shops all across japan. I could never afford to actually buy most of them myself!

Those are fantastic works of art and time and nature, Craftsman san...I'd be a nervious as hell to start work on a piece of wood that old; being afraid I'd blow it, and waste what nature had given me to work on. Well done, so I take it you were well versed--so to speak--in that line of work before taking up such wood as a medium.

I also wanted to bump this up for Guy Gene, a newcomer who is into photography--he may post some of his photos here. At the same time, I'd like to share one more painting which I had done in 1993. The Ozone Hole Opened Up One Mornining Before Breakfast. It's one of the largest I've done on canvas...though not really that big. I'll try to get the link right.

This is a poem I wrote...I hope you'll appreciate my efforts... :)

BLAZON

Feudal recollections in the ambient spirit

Chills of sorrow residing in their restless bodies

Tearing hearts and broken hands are teeming

Decomposed memories lie to meekly fade

Gentle yet the tears, falling in torrents from their miserable faces

What lies beyond the gates of freedom is to be seen

Rays of light peek out through the cotton clouds

Eyes of sapphire sparkle like celestials of the night

There is solid hope for you; don't give in

Melancholy smiles I see from afar

Know what is in your minds, my fellowmen

Not calloused nor blistered;take up your golden staffs in your hands

My pathos is with you and forever will be

Solemn guidance will no longer seek the rest of you

Keep all secret, for you are my treasured benefactors

Lovely paintings Mars Man! I wish I could paint too. I actually bought a set of acrylic paint years ago and I never got past decorating a home made picture frame. *sigh*

I do make crafts and I give most of them away to friends without having pictures of them taken. :(

Right now I'm studying how to make ambigrams I hope I can make something good enough for posting. :-)

Thanks sadakoyamamura san !! Yeah, if you get around to it, please do take out the paints and start messing around with them. You may get a good work out of it right away, or after a little time, get the inspiration.

Liquid Fantasy san, I do appreciate your efforts. Nice job there. I'll try to post some more of my carpentry crafts here later on too. I'm cheering for you sadakoyammura san !! Keep up the good work !!

I haven't put up any new 'work' for ages. :( But right now I'm working on a pencil drawing! 👍 (Just have had too little time to work on it lately, what with spending more time making music >.<)

Finally I finished my fanart of Ralph McTell! :p

I made a new song yesterday as well, but it's going to be on my album, so it's a secret for now. ;-) 😊

That's amazing Kinsao! Your drawing is so detailed. I always thought portrait was one of the hardest things.
