[Kinsao]

My painting well it's more of a drawing - I did it in black biro first of all, and then used water colours over it.
It's only small - around a 9 inches I think - it's hopefully the first of a series of random visual ramblings. I've started on the next one which is about A2 size and in which I've put the watercolour down first and am going to work on top of it with charcoal (and possibly other stuff).

I like your photo, Thor! It definitely looks like it should have a narrative around it. It's one of those pictures where you look for the foot or the outflung hand... hehe. I think that's because it's a seesaw, which you associate with kids, but there's no children in the picture and it's all dark... The weird angle even feels a bit like you are looking at the scene through the viewpoint of a victim, somehow...

Yet another cake...

I made this one for one of my students, for her husband's 50th birthday:



It was a complete nightmare - took me nearly three hours! The waterlilies were so fiddly I kept squashing them, and the fish kept falling off I have put it in the cake box and I am not looking at it again ever! :angryfire:

That' nice work there Kinsao san...with all those fine parts and soldering and so on...my elder son wouldn't even be able to do that well, I think, even though he's doing that kind of stuff at school.

I would love to do that! But considering how difficult it was to get this cake two miles from my house to work, I would hate to see a cake after it got from my house to Japan I will make you a Hanshin Tigers cake, show you the picture but eat it myself, how does that sound?

Tsuyoiko, I love your cake! You can definitely open a shop for your creation. I bet a lot of moms would love to buy your cake for their kids' birthday.

Kinsao, nice drawing! It almost looks like a black & white picture except your drawing has more texture to it.

I've been lazy about making something, but I just took some panorama pictures of where I went hiking and try to post them when I get them right.

I got some great pictures when I went up Mount Snowdon in April.

But instead of them, here is a photo of a cow I made when I was at college.
It was part of a project I did about B.S.E (Mad Cow Disease) when it was at it's peak in the UK. Notice the skull formed in the cow's markings.

And Danfaz, I didn't see your work before! It looks really good! very detailed...

Here are some paintings, they were based on memories of different types of rock/stone... like malachite, and stained agate with the layers, and some random grey rock I saw in a museum. They are not so recent but I hadn't photographed them before.

I love your photos. They are really beautiful - gives me exactly the spacious feeling of standing there, with the breeze on my skin... *_*

I took some photos of a light-up plastic eyeball... I thought they turned out fairly nice. I wanted to use them for some manip, but I haven't got round to it yet, and they are quite harmonious as they are. (The colour change is made by the light inside, it wasn't done on a program. ^^)

And one more, because I like the way this eye looks like it is kind of emerging from a surface...

Now that eye, the real eye, at the bottom of your post there Kinsao, it is very surrealistic--and I just love that eye to death !!

The eye is actually peering from the left side of the socket. . . the illusion is to make one think it's actually the left-side eye of ones face, looking in a sharp right direction--Oh no...you see, they were fooled already by the hand of one like Dali. . . hee, hee, hee...... I love it !! MM

Nice job there -Rudel- san !! I'll show that to my two younger boys to give them some hints. They hand painted the models I had gotten both of them this summer, and it wasn't so good. Spray (at least I feel that it looks like you've used spray there) is better...it you cover correctly, like you did.

I think they can learn from it. MM

I used Model Master's Aluminum Plate spray can. As you guessed. I would never paint brush a model except the small parts, or for weathering. Just too un-realistic unless I see photos of a particular aircraft with hand bruished markings etc.
