The martial arts in Okinawa is picking up pretty good due to the fact that the COVID restrictions have been minimized I guess.
Okinawa seems to be really a hotspot for the martial arts other than yours big cities like Osaka and Tokyo and Kobe and Fukuoka.
And Okinawa you're pretty much dealing with the third generation of sensei's that learn from their masters 50 years ago I know the two senses that I learned from well I just don't think they're existing as a matter of fact it'd be almost impossible to think they are but their students will be have their own dojos or they have their old sensei's dojo.
I'd say Okinawa is probably the better place to learn the martial arts.
But I guess any place in Japan that teaches the martial arts and you have a good Sensei is fine.

Martial arts are of course tremendously popular in Japan. All kinds of hand-to-hand combat/throwing martial arts, kendō, archery, iaido, etc. Most kids have the option of taking up some kind of martial art in junior high school, and carrying that with them into high school and college and beyond. Most towns will have some sort of club/dojo where martial arts are practiced.
