I believe listening and singing your favorite songs can improve one's language skill dramatically. Actually, beautiful Japanese song that makes me try to learn Japanese and come to this forum.
So the rule is, you post ONE Japanese favorite song per post. You can comment on the above post, but you still need prove your song as an contribution.

For my money, one of the best love songs ever:


This song was considered so racy for its time that the Japanese government actually banned its sale. The singer was so distraught over the uproar it generated (and consequent embarrassment to her parents) that it wasn't until many years later that she would perform it again.

@mike... I have never really listened to that kind of music before but it sounds interesting!


I have been singing this song every time I went to Karaoke and although I have heard this song for over 1000 times it still has a special place in my heart
