Hi,

Nice to meet you all in this digital world. My name's Allyson. The handle ありそう is based on a bad joke. アリゾナにアリソンがありそう。(Please don't go off on my about iru/aru, I wasn't the one who wrote it.)

Anyway, I have been studying Japanese for about 10 years and have studied there a couple times, never for more than a year. I work for a Japanese automotive company in the states doing translation and interpretation work. I also have an English teaching degree and love to help people who are learning Japanese.

I took the JLPT N1 this year and am anxiously waiting on results. I hope my fellow test takers all did well too.

Where have you been in Japan?

I spent the most time in and around Nagoya. But just traveling, I've been to: Tokyo, Kyoto , Okinawa , Niigata, Mie, and some other small places around visiting friends. Sadly, I've never been to Osaka or Kobe
