Need a word or phrase translated?

Hey,
I have an out of context phrase I need to translate: みんなの思いを守るために。。。
The only background info I have is that it is a scene from a fantasy anime, where two girls are fighting with each other.
My first thought was that it would simply translate into "to protect the memory of everyone", meaning something like " I will not let them be forgotten", but I am not sure. What could 思い mean in that sentence?
P.S. Sorry for my poor English, I'm not a native speaker.

思い is more likely wish, hope or intention.

Yes please! I would like to translate a statement inspired from an interview with Bruce Lee. He said "you have to be like water my friend". I would like to know how to write (and pronunce) the imperative form of "become water".

Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference in meaningand feeling among the three?

The first one is the most common imperative form. The second has a nuance of "advice" something like from master to pupil, and the last one works as an answer to a question "What I should do?", as in Bruce Lee replied in the interview.

Why not "become like water"?
because that would be an imitation. The idea is not to imitate the essence of water but to become it. My fellow karateka has "mi d like water" for his belt, which is also good but different in philosophy I think. I too must strive to become adaptable while retaining my nature. As a biologist I would add we are mostly composed of water to begin with and water is life, but that leads to much longer conversation and deeper meaning. I'm not entirerly certain I've explaind myself....

ぼっち means 一人ぼっち. Have you ever heard あるあるネタ?

Sorry, but I'm not sure - is ぼっち short for 一人ぼっち here or is it just an emphasis as in 一人ぼっち？
I have heard of あるあるネタ and I think I kind of understand what it is - a trivial thing or a feeling a lot of people experience, that might be slightly weird or unreasonable, just a common experience that a lot of people can realte to. But I am not sure I got it right and still I can't figure out any good translation for the phrase. Do you perhaps have any?

Yes, you got the meaning of あるあるネタ right. ぼっち is a young people's slang for 一人ぼっち, and ぼっちあるある means あるあるネタ of 一人ぼっち, i.e., possible stories of people in solitude/with no friends .
