It looks like 義正 to me. What katakana does it look like?
I thought the bottom 2 looked like Katakana but now I know I'm wrong as you said it looks like 義正 which translates as Yoshimasa. That makes sense as Yoshimasa is a Japanese bronze maker.

You need to check if the inscription the company uses is the same as your one. It seems that there are some artists whose names are 義正.
Yes thank you for your advice. I have checked and it is the same. Dates from about the 1900.
I also have a plaque with a design on. Is this writing or just decoration? Thanks again.

It's neither Japanese kanji nor Chinese hanzi. It's just a mark/symbol or a part of kanji.

I got it from a manga
I know the latter part means something like "I might as well be dead" but the first kanji just threw me off.

虎 would be from the protagonist's name 虎丸 "Toramaru".

I don't know. The reading might be "Tora Shintō", as you wrote, or could be "Koshindō". It's a coined word, anyway, and can't be his name. I don't think it has something to do with 無限我流.

Hmmmm... how odd, huh? I cited his school name because of several type of pronounce of kanji and I thought probably could be related somehow with them. An ancient form of saying those kanji, who knows?

hey, just joined the forum to ask you guys a question - i'm looking to get some kanji tattooed on my fingers, so ideally i need to know how to write the following words in one character each (if possible). they are:
darkness
shadow
ghost/demon
fury
night
i have read that ghost is typically written in two parts, as the "oni" character alone conveys more of an ogre-like demon? if this is the case, i'll work around it. thanks in advance to anyone who can help
