Waseda informed me that some of the documents will be arrived in July. However, we have to wait until the middle of August before we can apply for the visa.

Maybe I will ask my professor to request the visa documents sooner, if possible! He said me that my trip will be made by the office staff at the Center for supporting foreign students, Kyushu Univ.

MEXT will send our names to the Japanese embassies/consulates in the middle of August. Therefore, I am not sure that you can apply for the visa before that.
Anyway, please consult your professor and Japanese embassy in your country.

According to the official guideline from MEXT, they will notify the results to the universities by the end of June.

Nop, nothing. I think I applied to Special Recommendation so this results come out in June-July according to MEXT website.

I applied for regular MEXT and the only thing I know is that the result will be released in April - June. But I know a guy from my country, applying last year (2014), he got the result in May 5,2014.
This year takes so longgggg time for the result. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Newly got the result. I failed again. So sad !!!!
phuongcatp, don't lost hope. You can try agian for next time or maybe you also come to Japan, then you can apply private scholarship.I see private ones very much.
