I, too, got a special recommendation. Our results will be released on mid-July (based on what my uni told me). The uni will receive the results from MEXT around end of June and will notify the nominees by mid-July. Reason for that approx two-week gap, I have no idea.
Anyway, my sincerest congratulations to b4lmung and Reni! For some reason I feel sooooo happy for you two

I applied to Nagoya University too, but I don't have any info... My school didn't say a word about when the results come out. Did your school say something about it?

You will love it there =D If you don't want to stay in the dorm, I can give you contacts of my old apartment near the university... Ooh, I just saw we are from the same country. Maybe when you are formally in Kyoto you will also get to know the KAPS people. =D

Hi. I got special recommendation also. Yeah, you're right. I was told also by the university I applied that the result will be on mid July. Do you have any idea about the acceptance rate for this type of recommendation? Thanks in advance.

Its really very disappointing to wait for the result when others getting theirs everyday.....I am confused about this system of releasing result by MEXT....why they dont release all the result at once................totally pissed off.......

I just know from secretery of my perspective professor from Osaka University that the result from MEXT of special recommendation did not be announced. Wait a moment please and do not be worry to much.

Hopefully, we'll receive all our results by this week or early next week.
The acceptance rate is something I am itching to ask my uni, but I'm afraid to overstep my bounds. Kagoshima Uni has a 100% passing rate for special recommendation though. Not sure if the same can be observed to other unis, but I am hoping for better chances!
