MEXT Scholarship 2014

I just received a call from the embassy, my application was unsuccessful.

I was on the 3rd floor of the hall while taking the call, for a sec I felt like throwing myself off. Coz I remember how fast I'd ran out of my room to take that call, ny heart beating so fast that I could hear it. I had so many dreams and hopes, and just like that, in a 2 minute call, they all got shattered.

I can't try any more, even if my age allows me. More so, I'm in campus already.

For you guys still waiting, I wish you all the best! Hope it turns out better than it did for me.

Special training college :)

& why can't you try anymore if your age allows you to? Please don't lose hope.There was one person who got the scholarship last year with his 3rd try. There's still time, please reconsider...
 
By the way, I'm always dumbfounded by the 2nd screening results. If you passed, what are the chances of really getting the scholarship? Or have you already been given a place, but the formalities need to be taken care of?
Is there any chance to fail upon this point? O:

By the looks of it, seems it's still a 50/50 chance since there are applicants who passed the 2nd screening and yet, didn't make it on the final selection('；ω；`)

Seems those from Europe and South America have been receiving a call/email from the Embassy since yesterday. I'm getting more anxious every minute here :( Hoping for the best…

It's definitely still 50-50; embassy recommendation never ensures MEXT selection.
The wait is becoming unbearable, a lot of our friends at the MEXT facebook group have gotten their results and I'm here constantly checking my phone and my email durin a uni lecture... I'm going nuts @_@

Insomnia came back last night after five months of being perfectly fine. Add to that my caffeine addiction and we end up with a very jumpy lasershark.

In Chile, the Embassy does not informed the preliminary results...

(Even I received an email from a Professor from Tokyo Institute of Technology regarding information about the scholarship... i'm going mad :sick: hahahaha).

Oh wow, seriously, that's so cool, thank you for taking notice of me ♥ XD And yes, Arashi got me stuck in this whole Japanese entertainment thing. Eito made me stay though XD

I'm aiming for Design in a special training college :) (And naah, this thread is pretty dead at the time. If anyone complains, I'll move XD)

Hahaha, thank you so much XD too bad I only translated it, I'm not one of the cool kids able to come up with stuff like that XD

Since mainly theory is taught in Universities and I needed practice. My work will require real skill to actually create something for production so I'll better study at a college where they will teach you exactly that :)

As far as I know, all undergrads go to Osaka or Tokyo. I've never ever read about anyone from a college, so I have no idea how that works. Though it's possible that it's the same. I'd love to get together in Osaka 8D

Hello all! I got a call from my embassy yesterday saying that I'm going to Japan next year! Leaving the first week of April!!
The University hasn't been 100% confirmed yet, but it's looking like Nagoya. (The people in Tokyo still have to contact the people at Nagoya, but since Nagoya has been sending me forms and stuff, it seems fairly sure)

I'm from India, and had applied for the Undergraduate Program. The embassy had called me in September asking me to send a few extra documents (this was about a month AFTER the interview stage), which I dutifully sent. And its about selection time now, and there have been no calls or emails from them as of now. I am very tensed as applicants from all other countries are being notified of their results already. Does anyone know around what time Indian applicants for the Undergraduate program might get to know their results? Thank you!

heyy this is varun !! i am from india as well !! i have also applied for mext undergraduate scholorship (information engineering) this year and waiting for final decision from mext. I contacted consulate of japan in new delhi just a couple of days before and they told me that the recommendation has been forwarded and they are waiting for the final result from mext, japan. The results for final selection is likely to come in january.
