BTW, advice to people regarding exam. if you are going to cram, it wont help. in my opinion the number of items is few, meaning, what are the chances that the one you study is actually going to come out? study if you want, but don't cram on the last day. I did it and it didn't help.

I only advice cramming if it is like for Basic Japanese. But for people with advanced japanese, cramming for a week only wont help

kouun9, it's a combination of everything you mentioned.
However, in my country, it was not compulsory to sit for the Japanese exam.

The english exam yeah, did have all that u mentioned. meaning, rather than the very easy 2010 exam both english and japanese (i did a mock exam, just had 1 mistake in jap exam).

But the fact that it was something like 2007-2009 means that it's short, but it's challenging. And it really is something we cannot prepare for in a short time.

Oh, the interview is either 29th or 30th, it's a holiday here so they will call from tomorrow-Friday regarding the dates.

Sooo nervous about the interview! And so nervous about contacting professors. My professors HERE aren't even replying to me.... :S

@Mitch are you talking about English exam or Japanese exam? Is the English exam same as 2007-09 or is it the Japanese exam? Can you please clarify do we have to write Kanji's in Japanese language exam? my kanji's are weak.

The language exam, like what others say, is not like the 2010 exam. The 2010 one was easy. This one is hard. :S

Anyway, been trying to contact my old professors in my county, just to ask advice, but getting replies from them is hard as well.

@ Akmal, Dear friend its not the letter of acceptance from Universities, In India we have to give recommendation letters from our Professors with the application forms.

we have various stages of interviews and shortlisting of candidates, this was first round, the result may be announced may be in next two weeks. then there will be more rounds of interviews
