MEXT 2012 Research : Difference on Field of Study and Program Paper

Hello,

Now applying for MEXT 2 as Research Student, they ask how far you want to go, like from research student to master degree and then doctoral degree.

Has anyone gotten that? from research student 2 years to doctoral degree 7 years?

and what are the difference on

２ Your research theme after arrival in Japan: Clearly explain the research you wish to carry out in Japan

and

３ Study program in Japan: (Describe this in detail and concretely―particularly about the ultimate goal of your research in Japan)

I believe the difference is on 2, they want to know your initial research, and on 3 they want to know how far you want to get with your initial research.

like for EX: on 2, you research the motor of a car and on 3 you explain the motor will go in a chassis (which you need to also research) along with other additions (some other research) to become a unique vehicle (the ultimate research goal).

Am I right or wrong about this?

my professor in Japan wrote it for me im just editing it because my previous research (plant molecular) kinda not related to his research...

as far as I know,
#2 your research theme...cars
why cars so important etc... just promoting how awesome studying about car will be...and how great it is for future to study car. oh dont forget, state a reason WHY JAPAN? why you should learn it in Japan.

#3 you want to make flying car
how will you make it? from plastic aluminum or what? how it will look like...basically methods to achieve your goal
and dont forget to put statement on how awesome your "flying car" will be
