Hey guys, was just looking around to see if I could get a sneak peek at some food prices in Japan, and went on this site;

http://www.mcdonalds.co.jp/sales/menu_h_f.html

Can anybody who can read Japanese tell me if those prices are for meals? or not..it would make sense, because the Big Mac is 600Y and here it's ツ」3.19, so roughly even. But at the side there's a + sign and a list of items.

:sorry:

Well, you still have to factor in the costs for the paramedic you have to call to pump out your stomach after eating that McDonalds garbage :sick: :mad:

I'm guessing that you're talking about the サイズ・アップ thing with the coke and fries? That's saying that it's ¥21 extra for a large drink instead of medium, and an extra ¥31 for large fries instead of medium with a value meal.

It's hard to tell from those pictures, but another thing you might want to consider is the drink sizes in terms of volume/ounces are about half what they would be in America (not sure about Europe....). A medium here is more or less equivilant to a large in Japan, small is medium etc. Not sure about the fries or burgers, but they also looked less bulky, or beefy.

Stick to the original topic (pricing) or start your own thread on the pros and cons of McD's. Thanks.

The wonderful Kirei-Na-Mei has been so nice as to provide an outlet for all your McD's rage/passion. Have a click here!

Might be worth pointing out that all of the prices there are for med coke/fries with the thing listed, ie. set or meals.

I liked maccas in Japan, they had 1 or 2 new things every month. (Chicken bugers, deluxe burger... things like that).

Well in England the regular medium meals are something like ツ」2.88, although I think they went up to ツ」3.19 recently (unless it's just the big mac). and you can go large for 30p extra or something.

The large drinks are about 600ml I think. medium ones around 400ml ish

of course, they're always packed with ice, which takes off a good 100ml usually :eek:

hey heres an idea we should all stick to non fast-food meals lol a home cooked meal is so much better weather if ramen noodles or rice STILL way better than fast-food

lol so true, its real rubbish. I dont go any more it sux !! One thing that i found in japan tho, is the staff at McDonalds are alot nicer in japan then in europe. In the uk they get annoyed if you take your time in deciding lol. However in japan its a smile for every customer, tells you something dont it.
Anyways i dont like going to McCrap

Prices for Fast Food are kinda up there. ANd that goes for any fast food...I wonder if they price it by fat content, because I remember KFC being REAL expensive. :D

The "smile 0 yen" was in Macdonald's menu in Japan before .
I seldom see recently.
"smile $0" Is in a menu in the United States?
Is there any person who placed an order?
I know the ex.part-timer to whom an order [ * smiles ] was given by some customers in Japan.(^0^
when she was free,she said [Omatase simasita,douzo.] with * smiles.
when she was busy,she draws up her cheeks and pretended that she couldn't hear.

I can tell you about the drink sizes in Europe (Germany at least) which are used in all locations I know of (most probably includes also McDirt):
Small is 0.3l, medium is 0.4l and big is 0.5l :haihai:
How are the drink sizes in the US?

@Arch
Yes, I can imagine that very well - it's probably due to the Japanese mentality, people are generally much nicer.

I could see that... also, you'll have to know that they use absolutely anything from the animal, including all innards, bones etc., just minced really fine. They even use flour and all sorts of other stuff to stretch it and then add tons of flavor enhancers to make this tasteless stuff taste like anything at all :mad:

stupid thing is the prices of mcdonnalds is going up. The only thing i like at mcdonnalds is the eggmcmuffins 👍

But i have thoughs once a year even less. But I dunno. Its almost 5 dollors over there for a hamburger. Everyone is sick of the crap

MacDonalds is MacDonalds everywhere, even at the moon :-)
Yes, always the same indigestible factory waste :sick:
Regardless if it's now called "Royal Burger", Moon Burger" or whatever...

Stop you guys, you're making me hungry! Just like the movie Super Size Me. I couldn't wait to go get a Big Mac afterwards.

the Super Size Me movie had the opposite effect on me, I got me some bananas and apples instead 😆 ...

Well, I'm in Japan, and the prices are similiar to UK, except for the burgers...they:re only 84 yen each, (about 40p), which is about half the uk price.
