Looking for my friend 'Chie Tahara' from Niigata

Hello there, I have stumbled upon your site by chance and am hoping that you could help me locate a long lost friend of mine from Japan. All information I have is listed as follows:

I am from Thailand and I am looking for Chie Tahara from Niigata. We went to school in Australia together but lost touch after we moved back to our home countries.

I have tried for years to locate her through her last known cellphone number and an email she gave me before she went back to Japan, all to no avail. Well, we contact with each other several years before we lost contact.

I would like to also provide you with more information about my friend through a direct message if that is ok with you. Thank you for your time and thank you very much in advance for anything you can do to help me with this.

Thank you all so much for the infomation. Unfortunatelty, the opera singer is not really the friend I was looking for. As far as I know, my Chie Tahara graduated from Niigata University. She went to briefly study at University of Newcastle, Australia, went back to Niigata to finish her degree and later moved Tokyo to work for the Ministry of Justice. Is it also possible to find my friend using her last known cellphone no. or possible home address? I tried to call her number using Skype but never got through.
