I know the population of Christians in Japan is very, very small (less than 1% I think). I would like to hear any experiences from Japanese Christians living in Japan.

I think I want something harder
i want to talk to japanese muslims
if anyone know anything about Islam in Japan then tell me please

I really want to

I'd get in touch with the mosque in tokyo. lots of info there )
a google search on the term "japanese muslims" yields a lot of relevant results.

Japanese Muslims

I'm interested in Japanese Muslims myself.

I'm actually one of them, but i'm a mix...my mom is Japanese and my dad is Egyptian. Just want to see if i can find someone in common with me. But if you wanna know anything about japanese muslims you can message me! 🙂

hi

masha'allah there are quite a few japanese muslims arent there? recent posts show that the numbers have shot up 2 2million japanese muslims, good stuff eh? anyhoo im egyptian myself, dont know why im here, its just nice to see alot of japanese muslims, anyhoo ciao for now my chums!

This says there are 10,000 Japanese who are Muslims in the entire country of Japan.

This article states:

It's a familiar tale for Japan 's Muslims, who number about 100,000 – more than 90 percent of whom are not Japanese.

So, it doesn't look like it's 2 million, or even 200,000, Japanese Muslims in Japan.

[edit: misunderstood the numbers~ :p ]

I'm a Muslim and I never knew there were at least 10,000 Muslims in Japan!! O_O That's more than where I live~~~~~~~ *kusu kusu!*

hehe xD

Japanese muslims, Japanese christains, I don't care, really. I would be very happy, and of course surprised that a Japanese would have any kind of religious belief. Since their society isn't exactly religious orientated. 😎

Of course but there are... So let us dream, please ! 😌

I'd like to meet a muslim Japanese, it would be so... waouw ! Anyway, I wish you welcome al_khattabi and enjoy ! (Belgium huh ?!)

In Japan the mind set (according to all the Japanese people I've known) is that you are FIRST Japanese. Your religion will come second to that. It is when western types of religious thought come in and tell their believers that the faith they follow is more important that troubles arise.

Personally I'd like people to see all people first AS people and everything else as something that is personal and should not be a consideration in how you interact with that person. Bu tthen again I also think people should be required to be held accountable for their actions and silly things like that. :)

Well you know Ikyoto I think that to be Japanese and to be religious (to believe) are two different things...

I'm not gonna judge someone because he doesn't believe but I'll have more affinities with a muslim than with an atheist because we have more in common. I mean, it's not a bad thing, it's normal ! Your nationality is a thing, your religion is another one (a private one).

I'm tired and I can't develop more, I'm sorry. Good evening people (yes it's 2.33 AM here) :)

i never knew there are lots of muslims in japan since they don't get much coverage, unlike muslims in china, but surely that's a very nice fact. :)

some of my relatives are christian, some are muslims and buddhist..but im an atheist.. but im curious to see the affect of religions such as islam affect the ways of a japanese concerning their unique ways.. how are they in japan?how do they think.. and how japanese react to them..?

~~im a malaysian muslim but really...i have no idea the number is that much. hey warlock you're malaysian too? ^^;; anyhow, ive read that most of the converts are women who marry non-japanese men. hmmm curious as to how they go about their everyday life. sint it a bit hard to find halal food there?

Well actually I am a muslim too and I live in the US.
But I speak some Japanese and have always found it interesting.
There are Japanese muslims out there..believe it or not. Most are haafu(mom is Japanese convert, dad is from Pakistan or Morocco, etc).
Assalamu Aleikum! So good to see muslims on these forums.

I would like to speak with Japanese muslims who live in America, Japan or maybe an arab country like Saudiyyah

Mtom, may I ask are you a practicing Muslim? Is it hard in Saudi Arabia to get videogames? Is it allowed at all?
I am a practicing Muslim but I love Japanese culture and the Japanese language. I would like to marry a Japanese convert to Islam...insha'Allah.

Salamun alaikum from Turkey to all Muslims in Japan!
