Looking for Japanese Muslims

A big J-used car auction company, maybe in Chiba or somewhere, builds a place to practice and a halal restaurant in their site after increased buyers from muslim countries.
Car owners in Japan expect higher resell value.
The company expects more buyers.
The buyers expects profits in the countries they're from.

win-win-win situation, isn't it?
You may be a bit too sarcastic if you'd call this as just a biz.

I would like to speak with Japanese muslims who live in America, Japan or maybe an arab country like Saudiyyah
Mtom, may I ask are you a practicing Muslim? Is it hard in Saudi Arabia to get videogames? Is it allowed at all?
I am a practicing Muslim but I love Japanese culture and the Japanese language. I would like to marry a Japanese convert to Islam...insha'Allah.

Hi Yamatoblue
I am a new member in the JF. I was searching for muslim people in Japan because I like Japanese, and I am interested in knowing more about them. However, since i live in Saudi Arabia, you can play video games of all kinds almost. Restrictions are limited to those which are prohibited by law and they are few.
I will be happy to provide you with more information about suadi arabia or about Islam.
wish you good luck.

Japanese Muslims

This says there are 10,000 Japanese who are Muslims in the entire country of Japan.
This article states:
So, it doesn't look like it's 2 million, or even 200,000, Japanese Muslims in Japan.

Hi kirei
The sources of the numbers are articles, I would assume that the most frequent number I had read was 200,000. However I am very interested in knowing the exact number from trusted sources. I am a muslim and I was in Tokyo last September. I like the Japanese and their way of respect to their work and other people.

Thanks

Hi I'm half Jap and half Eng, I became Muslim 5 years ago alhamdulillah, Im trying to get my hands on a Japanese translation of Qur'an can anyone help?

Thank you so much for the links mikawa san and pipokun
👍
the links are both fab, i pray my mum will have a look.
Also because i cant actually read kanji could someone let me know if there is a link to get a free japanese quran sent to me at either of the sites.
Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I agree with kirei, muslims make up a fraction of the population and most of them arent actually japanese.

Lol, i should have said i can't understand japanese full stop! I can read hiragana and katakana but i wouldn't understand it even if i read it, but that's a fab useful tool pipokun, i was really impressed with it.
Thanks again all!
Oh and just to add, I'm new here, only a couple days old, so would love to hear from anyone about anything...
:-)

Greetings there too eemaan san !! I have been behind in greeting the newcomers to the forum this past week or so, and thus if I had missed you, I apologize.

In that you have chosen the Islamic belief system to adopt for the religious element of your being, I'd like to extend the invitation to drop by the Europe Forum, General Discussion area, 'Religion and Philosophy' fora, and share your thoughts, education, and experience with us in our discussion and 'almost' debate on the good and bad, truthful and false, historical and social elements of various belief systems, such as Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and so on.

We always make an effort to keep things as cool as possible there, and as broad as possible in opinions, and would be interested in learnin more about some of the factors of Islamic thought from those who practice such.

Welcome to the forum, and I hope to see you around later. Of course the forum is large, and there are many places to enjoy and post at. See you !!

thanks mars man, i will check it out later on insha'Allah (God willing)
I must say these are the best forums i've ever been to. There is on the most part mutual respect from all members, and I've found it to be a rare comodity in life. I look forward to being an active member.
Like I said before I'd love to hear from people.

Eeman, you're Muslim? Well, I'm not a muslim. But my friends are so, I preety much understand what are those Arabic words are. ^^ As fas as my 5 watt brain can go, there aren't many muslims in Japan, are there?

Hi Takaryo, well that's what I'm trying to find out!
I know there are lot's of mosques in Japan and halal butchers and restaurants, I looked them up on Islamicfinder.com. I've found a few on the jref penpals, some appear to be japanese converts and others born Muslim who are living in Japan.
Check it out for yourself if you're interested.
:-)

Silver, Love those pics, where did you get them? Yes it is quite unusual, bizarre even! Who's the lady at the top?

salam alaykoum,

those pictures are wonderful, arabian outfits fit them well.

eeman do you speak japanese and did you ever go to Japan ? I think you can have a free japanese version of Qur'an (paper version) if you contact a saudi embassy or a dawa organisation.

I wonder how japanese muslims deal with the bowing tradition as it is not permited in Islam.

Sorry for my bad english :)

Thanks bossel, very kind of you, so, you see you have a picture of Spock, are you a Trekkie? Is space more your thing than religion, and one last question, I hope you don't mind, since you're an atheist, why do you spend so much time and effort trying to refute Islam? Not in a bad way, but like, is it because you think we're wasting our time and you want to save us 'wasting our lives' or just because? Cos I only came to bring a message, and see if anyone would be receptive and accept, not to belittle or argue, cos for me I believe I have truth (Yes I know you disagree!) but I feel it is so important that I have to share it with people, otherwise I'd feel selfish, like I'd won the lottery and not shared my winnings...Just wondered.
Sakina, no I can't speak Japanese unfortunately, I'll PM you later insha'Allah.

Yeah, I'm definitely more in favour of space exploration than of promoting religion (but not a real trekkie, Spock was just some kind of idol when I was a kid). I'm not trying to refute Islam (or any other religion) as such. If you want to believe, then be it. But if I smell propaganda or proselytising efforts that may lead to an averse reaction, esp. when someone comes up with alleged historical facts.

But whether I react obviously also depends on the time I have at hand & how frustrated I am about my programming efforts. It also depends on how often I had the very same discussion already (& how long the last one is ago). Because, it gets boring after a while, if you have to refute the very same arguments (often copied from the very same websites) over & over again.

Well, we shouldn't disturb this discussion too much. If you have more questions, you could PM me, or open a new thread on "why atheists try to refute [insert favourite religion here]".
