Guys,
(Note: I am not associated with running this site, and I do not directly or indirectly know anyone who runs it.)
Most of the time, we remain in a "will do" mindset instead of "let's do it," especially people like me
Running a website with good footprint needs a lot of effort and money - and if it is not an e-commerce site or a site with a concrete revenue model, it is like running a charity.
I had this experience when I ran a very helpful site with regular investment analysis (with my regular job) - very successful for traffic but no revenue model. And then, I could not sustain myself because of the amount of time required.
Now, 4 years back, leaving a good job as the country head for a multinational and starting a business in an area that was completely new to me, I can appreciate what the JRef guys are doing for this community—a community where many of us can come to take a break.
Can at least some of us come out of our "Will do" mainframe mind frame and show our appreciation today for - Donor status ???
And more than anything, what I see in terms of the friendliness of these guys (their comments) and the way they are so attentive, really touches the heart
