Hope someone out there can answer this, will really make my day if they did. :-)

'Koroshi' is the pilot episode of Dangerman, a cult British tv series from the 1960's, and it is set in Japan for the first episode. This series is very special to me for emotional reasons.

Think it may be set in Tokyo, but not certain.

So does anyone on here know where it may have been filmed or anything else about it?

Hopefully someone knows something........ 👍

I've just done a quick internet search for you, and it seems that 'koroshi' was the penultimate episode - there was only one more before the series was cancelled, and the crew went on to make The Prisoner.

Nothing about where it was filmed so far, sorry, but then you have the motivation probably to spend longer searching the internet for the answer...

Best of luck!

mos :)

Thanks Mos, its just my luck it was filmed in the studio lol.
Would have been nice if it had been filmed on location, just like the sequel to Dangerman was. 🙏

You're welcome EH :)

Out of interest, did you see it as the single episode, or the 'movie' version where the next episode was joined on, to make one, double-length story?

Apparently the 'movie' version had extra stock footage of Tokyo added, that may have made the effect even more convincing.

I'm quite intrigued now with all i've learnt about this - i'd like to see it! I shall add it to my list, but unfortunately there are quite a few things on said list already - including, interestingly enough, the related old favourite of mine The Champions

😌

I first saw it on British tv, think it was bbc3. They had just finished showing the complete Prisoner series. Have got the episode on dvd, unopened, and most of the episodes up to 'Under The Lake', which is special to me.

Oh The Champions, havent heard that series mentioned for ages, better refresh my memory by looking it up on IMDb.

The Wikipedia page on The Champions is much better than the IMDb page, imo:

The Champions - Wikipedia

I shall have to try to try to get on the BBC and ITV Freeview channels more I think - apparently The Champions was also shown recently. Damn those others in my flat who dominate the TV! lol

Oh dear mos, better grab that remote as quick as you can, lol.
Have no problems here, we got two digiboxes, one in front room so our kid can use it, and one in front of this computer, stops the petty squabbles as to who wants to watch what. 😌

Lucky fella!! Lol, I could sort it out if I were a bit more practical - just run an extension from the aerial under the carpet into another room. Alas, washing up is about as practical as I get! :(

I forgot to say earlier that in my 'detective work' it was very interesting to read about the 'coincidental' (?) similarities between Koroshi and the James Bond film that was partly set in Japan - any thoughts on that?

(nice new sig btw - the old one struck me as a bit intense!!)
