Japanese Horror!!! Always fun.

I am not sure if I have seen it. Depends if it was shown over here.

I'll check that one out. Thanks for the reccomendation.

Just watched Ghost Train the other day, and thought that was seriously spooky. And since I take the subway to and from work every day, it gave me an added chill or two or three. Well worth checking out. And while this is more in the vein of a monster movie, The Host (from Korea) was excellent. If you've ever seen Tremors, this flick perfectly combines thrills, chills, suspense with humor sprinkled in for good measure, not to mention one hell of a badass beastie!

👍

Thanks. I think I might have already put, "The Host," on my rental list. :-)

I must recommend a few that no one else has mentioned. (If you have, gomen!)

Pray (Its really good if you like ghosts and twists.)

Cursed (Excellent movie! It has Susumu Terajima-san!!!!)

Infection (Its really good, and more of a psychological horror... oh and one of the nurses in it played in the English version of The Grudge as Yoko, the original house maid and the first one to get caught by the boy)

How could I forget Pyrokenesis? Its excellent, not exactly horror, but still very good! It has two very familiar faces as well: Hideaki Ito is in here for anyone who has seen Onmyouji 1 & 2, he played Hiroshima. And Kaori Momoi is in here as well, she played "Mother" or "Mom" in Memoirs of a Geisha.

I must recommend "The Maid" its in half Chinese half English, so keep your ears peeled because there is a lot of English spoken but not a lot of Chinese. Very scary as well, too bad I was doing something and got to pay only 3/4 attention to it...

Premonition is good, not necessarily "horror" but very good. In fact, the English "Premonition" has almost nothing to do with it. Its a very loveable film, I love it and I recommend it, but you have to pay attention.

Unborn but Forgotten is a K-Horror (Korean) and its really good. It has a the main plotline of a ghost haunting something or someone, but adds a really nice twist to it.

The last ones I will recommend are Onmyouji 1 and 2. Very excellent movies, some humor, and demons, ghosts, excorcisms too. I love the 2nd one best since it was the first I saw.

I wasn't kidding when I said I watched a lot of foreign films... hope you watch and enjoy these as much as I did.

Funny you should mention, "Unborn but forgotten." My brother brought that round yesterday. It is a very cool film. I didn't understand the VERY END in the subway, because me and my bro had guessed the rest of the film, but after the end, we just went, "What???" Still good though.

I am in the process of renting the rest. Thanks. :-) I have seen premonition too. I now have a fear of newspapers. Hahaha.

Glad I could help. I'm renting/buying more soon, so if I find any interesting ones, I'll post 'em up here =3 While I'm thinking of it, I might be able to explain what happened at the end of Unborn but Forgotten if you're interested.

Could anyone tell me what "Phone" is about? I saw someone mentioned it earlier, but I haven't been able to find anything about it. Thanks in advance!

Love

Alright, let's see if I fully understand Phone.

A woman is being stalked so she changes her phone number and moves to her friends summer house until it dies down. Unfortunately, strange things begin to happen in the house and she gets even weirder phone calls than before. A little girl also answers the phone and from then on is possessed. Hope that wets your whistle for the film. It has the obvious scares, a few twists and a few unexpected moments from the small child. You'll love it. ^^

The Host is good
Infection and Death Trance...

I thinks its called Komie...but thats another good one...
and One Missed Call...
