hi...i am new to this site so i dont know how it works but can anyone please help me?
i am a junior in high school and is taking Japanese Language Class Level 3 and my sensei gave us a project that has to do with honorifics: keigo
the problem is, even though I(and my classmates) are in level 3, we only know limited japanese because our teacher hasnt been teaching us what were supposed to be learning lately...by the end of this year, we are supposed to have gone over at least 250 kanji but so far we only went over 40 kanji....and i am upset about how she teaches because i really want to learn the japanese language....and all were doing are projects that are supposed to be done by level one students..and what's more frustrating is that my class which is level 3, is learning the same things as level 2 students......
so my problem is i have to teach the class what keigo is but i have no clue what it is..i have to choose one from the two: sonkeigo OR kenjougo...and then i have to teach the class the rule or pattern for the one i chose and it's function(how it is used)..then i have to tell them two example sentences....after that, i have to make my own creative activity that my classmates can do after i teach them, but it has to do with the one i chose......
i am really confused and disappointed at her right now....she is making us teach the class what we dont know when she's the one who is supposed to be teaching us because she is more knowledgeable about the language and we signed up for that class because we want to learn....and this might sound pretty stupid but she spent 2 years teaching us the hiragana and katakana....i dont know why she did that....i memorized ALL the characters when i was in level 1 and it only took me the first semester to memorize it......not only me but also my other classmates....so if we think about it, she wasted one and a half year just teaching us what we already know when she could've thought us something new...enough with my rants...
so can anyone please help me!? i tried searching all over the net but its too confusing for me to understand....its like keigo is a new language....everything changes and its too confusing for my brain to handle...
