@Toritobe, both of those literal translations sound very awkward in English.

Would "Thank you for letting me travel the world" work? Also, would there be a difference in meaning if the を you highlighted were dropped?

世界の旅にありがとう is more common to express that she thanks the travel she did. を shows that she gives the appreciation for someone/something(motive, for instance) to have her travel. Anyway, the Japanese title 世界の旅をありがとう itself has the awkwardness(a kind of irregular expression).

Yeah, the connotation would be （私に）世界（へ）の旅を（させてくれて）ありがとう.
