J-Rock cosplayers

Thanx! ^_^ I thought it was gonna be hard to find, but I actually found them in an H&M store. lol but that was a looong time ago so I dunno if they still have it. I remeber that when I saw them I was like "Ok, that settles it. I'm gonna cosplay Toshiya Taiyou No Ao!"

I wish I was more of an perfectionist....I always sew in a hurry, cause I want it to be done fast, but then it always turnes out really bad 😌
I did go design and fabric for a year(like a sewing school or something)but it didn't help that much...I lurned a lot but I'm not able to use it 😌

Hehe. I got my sewing talents from my grandma and aunt. They are REALLY good at sewing, so I am really happy I got some talent from them. ^^

I havn't gone to design and fabric or anything like that. I only finished high school, and after that I didn't go to any school. I was suicidal from around december to january the year 2003, wich was when I was in 10 grade. Cause I always been mocked at school, and I was never the popular one, I didn't wanna be it either. My parents divorced, and they still hate eachother, they they can't stand eacothers faces. And my dad loves to find something to pick on and just send a e-mail to mom and yell at her. I was majorly depressed.
But if it wasn't for me finding out about Dir En Grey and cosplay, I would've prolly been dead now... The point is Diru and cosplaying is what saved me. I thought it was such cool and uniqe music and so many cool costumes to make it was just so damn interesting. So I decided to live.

That was completly offtopic, but I just had to get it out I havn't told anyone else but my bestfriend.

Aww, KM... I'm so glad you found Diru, cosplay and the life energy that is jrock... 👍 Your talents of cosplay are really good! Wish you most success! 😎

I wish I had found out about jrock earlier, but it was my guitar gave me motivation for living. After my father's death I almost succeeded in starving myself to death between ages of 20 and 23. And then I remembered all my hopes and ambitions from the past... I got too weak to pick up guitar any more even, and it made me sad and I realised that after all, I wanted to live and not just lie down and give up...

I didn't mean to say that... ... I think this forum is impregnated with a truth drug. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! :D

*hugs KM* you're lucky to have good sewing skills... I can make clothes but it takes me ages. I use hand instead of the machine because it takes me so long to get machine set up, I might as well have made by hand  Plus I like to use fabrics that don't go well in machine, if they are delicate or strange texture etc. I never made cosplay yet though! Oh, it would take me forever... hmm... I could maybe play as the naked woman from Raison d'Etre pv... 😊

Wel, it's good you feel confident enough to talk about it. 👍 Sometimes it feels easier to talk to strangers than people you actually know.

I guess I'm not cossing, just did the Kaoru tongue pose thingy for a picture. He often does this thing with his tounge when he plays.
The result was quite... interesting. I look damn funny tho...

Hehe... that's a funny picture. :giggle:

I wish I had j-rock during the lowest part of my life. I had nothing... I had a razor. 😌 Well... what's done is done. I'm very happy to know about it now. :-)

*blushes-like-mad*
Thanks for you're very nice comments! *lotsa hugs back*

I'm so sorry about your father... I have a friend wich her father killed himself...
Let's not talk about death anymore. I

Hey the Ironic thing is that I tend to pick the costumes that has pvc and other can't-put-in-the-sewing-machine-cause-that-will-f**k-it-up fabrics. XD
But I am now working on some not-machine-f*****g-up fabrics, since I'm making the Kaoru Yokan, Toshiya Zan and Die Filth costumes now. And the coolest thing bout those cosplays are they'r COMFY TOO! *claps for comfy costumes* WooT!!!

Hehe who wouldn't wish they really WERE the girl in the Raison D'etre pv. XD
Sorry for the pervert-ness I just had to say that! :sorry:

*_* Poor PKK! *Hugs her, and tells Kao to go comfort her.*

I was lucky to find out bout j-rock at that time, sounds cliche but I think it was destiny... I'm a ***** I know. XD lol

Awww PKK :( I hope you don't have much scars, people look askance at scars, they have strange ideas of it  Oh, I didn't want to turn the thread into depressing thread about death :sorry: Can we all be reborn again into new life in jrock, it's not ok any more to die when there is such awesomeness around 🕺 😄 😎

Eeeee KM you are making three costumes! 😲 I am sooooo slow at making things... I prefer to do it by hand... I don't really know why... a kind of mental masochism of the type that afflicts golfers, I think 😊

I never made any cosplay at all (😲 ) although I am at the moment making a shirt out of black fabric with spider web pattern. Ummmm, I started that thing about 3 months ago... :sorry: I'd love to cosplay Kyo's outfit from Obscure!

It was over 2 years ago so most scars are gone... the ones that are left are easy enough to hide. 😌

Yea no more talk about death... it makes me remember things I wish I could forget. 😌

Now, I know why the woman in Raison d'Etre gouges her eye out - she had just been struggling for half an hour to remove contact lens........ 😭

Haha... no. It's because if she saw it was Diru that was ravishing her she would surely die. Therefore to protect herself from certain death she stabbed her eye... err... she's blind in the other one so she didn't have to stab that one... it's true I tell you... cause I said so. 😌

Dumb ***** - why didn't she just get someone to blindfold her (very thoroughly) before? :? :giggle:

☝ i thought i was the only person who thought Diru keeps them from being depressed...and i thought it was really cliche and that i would get laughed at if i said it...☝ so maybe i'm not as strange as i thought...? fortunately for me, during the second really low point in my life i had already found Diru, so i had something to motivate me. during the first low point...:? i am having trouble remembering...and it was not too long ago...hmm...i think i probably would have turned to various forms of beverages if it weren't for the fact that my father was an alcoholic and i saw what it does to people...too bad i had no Diru to help, though...😌

ANYWAY!! Miz you are so cute!! 😍 i want to hug you and put cute clips in your hair!! aw!! 😍

you guys are lucky you have such cool piercings! i want the Miyavi lip, eyebrow, and nose. he looks so cool! 😍 but i wonder...i doubt it would look good on me...i wish i had them, though...

there was a girl in my human biology class this year who had the ox-ring! she looked so cool! 😍 she wasn't very nice, though...😌 oh well! i wish i had cool piercings, but i am freakishly pain intolerent. i don't know why. i just am. i'm going to get second holes in my ears though! *dances* as soon as i have money!

i would gladly suffer death by Diru! strange girl...too bad i can't take her place...:D

maybe she didn't...maybe they all leaped at her at once, so all she could do was stab out her eye...but like i said, why bother?? surely it would kill any ordinary person, sightless or otherwise...it would kill me either way. :D

Awwww Drain Away...... *hugs her*
Sometimes I find things really difficult even with jrock as a motivator :(
I think everyone have a sad story to tell... but everyone can have a happy ending some time? Please? 🌹 :cracker:

Yep yep, I really wish I could have cool piercings, but my clumsiness... aaaargh... I'd really like a lip ring and something in my eyebrow. I think I'm quite pain-intolerant but I don't really care if it's something like that - just grit my teeth and get on with it - but I seriously think that me and piercings would just... not get on. I'm not keen on the ox-ring though. In fact, I'm not keen on anything that draws attention to my nose. I mean, it's not huge or anything, but... well... just not particularly special, I guess. 😌

I got just normal contacts for sight the other day, is it possible to get SFX contacts with prescription? That'd be so cool! I bet they'd be very expensive though... I asked the optician if he could order me one clear and one amber... he just gave me a funny look and changed the subject :D I really wish I could do cosplay, I'm too fat to cosplay :( *goes on diet*

yes well, things get more difficult than even a jrocker can make up for, i suppose...:( i don't like those times. but at least we can stare at their pictures on any day, good or bad!! although it wouldn't hurt if we could actually see them in person once or fifty times...that would be a true happy ending! 😍 Daisuke-sama, come save me!! *pretend faints*

ergh, i would never do them myself!! i am too afraid!! that would...do bad things to my stomache...*vomits* i'm the same though, i am clumsy beyond reason, and i don't think we would get on (me and the piercings, i mean). the ox ring looked good on that girl, but she had a really nice nose. i know exactly how you feel, though. i hate my nose. it's not huge, it's just not small, either. my art teacher here is flipping obsessed with caucasian noses (he really hates that his is flat) and always brings up mine...i hate it! i would gladly swap noses with any body in this country! ergh, i hate how people stare! *hides under blanket*

i want Reita contacts!! *sparkly eyes* that would be so cool!! i don't know. :? i should ask my cousin, she's an optician...:D your poor optician having to put up with silly people like you! but i'd probably get the same look if i asked...:D i love creeping people out! it's what i live for! :devilish: well, that and hot, skinny, feminine-looking japanese males. (although i do believe those two go a bit hand in hand sometimes...) i'm too lazy to cosplay...:( i cannot use a sewing machine...but even though i'm really good at hand-sewing, i am to lazy to get of my *** and get out my Gothi-Loli books and make something...:( i am also too lazy to cut out all the patterns, and i lack the financial means of obtaining fabric. it's amazing i ever get anything done! 😌

...oh wait...i don't...:D

No, I would never do them myself. When I was about 7 my older cousin did her earrings and they went all septic and she felt really ill. That put me off for life. I just think it's kind of daft when you can go and get them done at a hygienic place...

Which two go hand in hand? Go on, share it with us! :D

Ummm... I'm beginning to suspect I was cloned when I was an embryo... Or maybe I'm schizophrenic and I'm posting as two people and each is forgetting about the other... :?

I don't bother with patterns - they are expensive! 😲 Gone are the days when poorer people would make their own clothes... I use old item of mine that I don't want any more, take it apart into component pieces and use those for a guideline. (Well, that's what I did on the two occasions I ever made something from scratch...) Also a good thing to do is buy something that is just boring/ordinary and jazz it up with various additions/alterations. Not really useful for cosplay, but good for the general wardrobe - and a lot less work! 😌

I need help...

I'm starting my Raison D'etre Kaoru costume... finally. I've wanted to for ages... it's a dream come true *tears up*

I don't know what to use to make the spiky bra, mask, and headphones. I know I won't be able to find anything suitable so I'll have to make it myself I'm sure. I'm just unsure how or what to use. :?

I'm really excited ^_^ because I too am working on a cosplay for Satsuki from Rentrer en soi the one he wears in sincerely pv!! so far I've bought the hoop, boots, and some of his jewelry he wears and some white fabric for the dress which I still have not started
XD...oh and some hair extensions curly ones.. *_* tho so far it getting to be pretty expensive LOL

@pinkkillerkisou maybe you can use foil with glue for the spiky bra, headphones and mask?
Or paper mache? although it might fall apart dunno maybe that helps..

Cool, Satsuki - I don't know the PV, but it sounds really pretty... I wish I could dress pretty... but it just looks stupid on me. 😭 Can't wait to see what it looks like.

Ummm... I'm pretty sure you can actually buy PVC off the roll, I think that might do the job for Raison d'Etre. But I don't know how much it costs... Foil sounds like a possibility for the spikes... I had been thinking of maybe thin-sheet aluminium (the sort you can cut with kitchen scissors) but that's not so easy to get hold of when you're not working alongside printmakers! but foil could work well if you find something good to wrap it around.

I love that PV... make sure you take pictures. :p

I thought of using scupley (clay that you bake) then spray painting them silver. :?

you guys are awesome! i love cosplay to bits and to see my fellow jrefers taking it on themselves is so cool. i'm mainly into the game cosplaying (e.g final fantasy, rizel, devil may cry have produced some good ones at conventions. phwoar there was a hot dante hehe) but jrock cosplaying is growing on me.

i like seeing people making effort into their costumes. if somebody has just thrown a bunch of paperclips together for a dress and made a sellotape headband (ouch) then maybe it looks good in their eyes but to me i would think they don't love the person they're trying to be enough. that may sound harsh but cosplaying is basically a tribute to your favourite character of some sort (in your cases jrock) so to produce something that is *insert harsh word here* doesn't really prove how much of a fan you are. and what if that character was to see your effort? they might suddenly decide not to marry you and throw your phone number in the bin saying "what was i thinking.."
but calm yourselves, put the gun down and don't head for the nearest cliff because if you put your heart and soul into your outfit then they WILL want to marry you and they'll arrive at your door with a rose in their teeth and take you to a faraway place where you'll make lots of babies etc etc....
eek. i got carried away there...

in your cases though you're really making effort and i hope you all put pictures up when you're done! *squeals* i'm excited for you hehe. and kaoru's mistress you're really good at the cosplaying malarkey, you always look like the person you're doing! and miz.... wow! your so uber cute and purdy! teehee *attacks you with hugs*

i thought i'd post some pictures of a cosplayer i've been following for some time. her name is Neried. she's really good :-) ....

oooo and pinkkiller! maybe this will help? i'm not all knowing on material knowledge but if you can tell what that material is you could maybe use it?

i have a whole list of jrock cosplayers at the click of a button if anybody would like to see some pictures for inspiration or help :-)

Wow, she is a really good cosplayer... looks like she is tall, too... it's really nice outfits.

*looks closely at Kaoru costume* Hmm, yeah, maybe you could make with cardboard and Sculpey (or airdry modelling clay)...

why dont you just buy the metal spikes? I've seen them for sale in a few places.
