is this handwriting acceptable in Japanese society for an adult? I know if someone write Chinese character like that in China, he would not give out any favourable impression.

It's pretty sure that the writer is a non-native Japanese, so it would be considered "enough understandable".

Apparently it's written by Riki Watanabe, a famous Japanese watch designer, his name is on the bottom of that text which came with the watch.

Personally I am a bit shocked to see this is the handwriting of the a Japanese person.
 
He seems to have to design everything in his own style, even kanji and kana.
 
I've seen much worse handwriting from native Japanese speakers haha. I can barely read the kana that one of my teachers writes.
 
I'd actually say the kana is worse than the kanji! I kind of like the personal style he has for the kanji, but the kana often look like something a kid would write!
