Is Japan a crowded place?

Like is Tokyo really crowded and such? Can it get aggrivating at times because of all the people?

I have seen a few pictures that show tokyo to be pretty crowded but maybe thats in the business area of tokyo.

i would say tokyo is pretty crowded though cause i have seen a few programs showing where some ppl sleep and its pretty small, i forgot what they called the place. :?

I think that tokyo is very crowded. thousands of poeple go to tokyo so it must be crowded, especially since all of the big industries and cooperations are there . but their also might be some places in tokyo that are more "spacious" lol.

When your there it isnt too bad, after a few days you get used to it ! Hey thats what japan is all about, going on the trains into tokyo during rush hour is something you wouldnt forget !

Tokyo and other cities are crowded, but Japan as such isn't. The cities tend to be, but there are many parts of Japan that aren't that populated. Especially the mountain regions. This has to do with zoning laws in Japan

shibuya is quite possably the most crowded place i have been to. Also shinjiku station is the most busy station in the world, it wouldnt be hard to get brused ribs there...
