Initial D Arcade Stage Ver. 3

the best car to choose in:
version 1 is the RX-7 FD Type R or the Trueno AE86
version 2 is the Integra type R Dc2 or the RX-7 FD Type R
version 3 is the RX-8 or the Subaru Impreza WRX Type R GC8V (Bunta's Car)
these r the best cars 4 the 3 different versions of the game.

It really doesn't matter what the best car is, what really matters is how you drive your CAR. (yes im talking about having skill) I right now drive a evo4 and i can easily beat any car on their best course unless they try their hardest to block me out the whole race. if you want to find out what car you would probably be good with just tell me how you drive, which course you are good at, and if you like a grip car or a drift car.

That's true, i mean let's take V2 for example, my friend drives itsuki's car (AE85) and he beat a guy driving a GC8V on Irohazaka. it's all about the skill. In V2 it was obvious that the best car was the DC2 (Integra type r) but most ppl who drove a DC2 had no skill and just kept on hitting the wall. But they thought they were good just because they drove a DC2. It's all about the skill, the car has a small factor in it...

THANK YOU!!!!! at least someone else shares that same opinion. Most people here just buy a car that they see some one do really good with thinking that it was all car. for example i once wanted to try out a 6 speed so i got a Altezza. i liked the way it handled and it had a good start but it wasnt that fast. the day i got it, i ended up having a winning streak of 12. by the next week at least 5 or 6 people had one. i just laughed because they couldnt drive. another example is when i had a winning steak of 6 against evo3s on akina uphill with a miata. it's 10% car and 90% skill, some people have it, some don't.

Yeah, it's all about the skill because of the weird physics of the game. For example, even if you have a heavily modded Skyline, if you bump into a couple of walls the game doesn't let you accelerate any more.

I don't think that blocking out the computer is especially bad, but I do agree that blocking other players out is pretty cheap. And whats so bad about boost? My point of view on that is... If you have it, then use it. If thats what helps you win, then go for it.

gtr32. I don't think i need to ask what car you drive. driving with boost on can be fun because it creates more of a challange but it relys less on skill and more on which turn to pass on. I am one of the best players at my arcade but i lost ot one of my less skillful friends because i pass on the wrong turn (he was driving so horribly, i wasn't even trying to pass).

can anyone tell me what thier times are, id like to see how i rank up with you all. right now I have a 3:11 on shomaru outbound and a 3:46 on tsuchisaca outbound and a 3:07 on Irohazaka downhill. does anyone have better times or any tips to make the times faster?

it all depends what you like better turning or a speed demon
Turning is king. what's the point of having a speed demon if you can't use the speed.

And let's not forget the giant WING on the back of that DC2 (^_^)

Seriously, I used Option D for the R-32 and found it ran like crap after awhile, although I was able to beat quite a few people on the hairpin jumps before the car got too heavy and too fast for its own good. I switched to the Initial D option and things panned out. That was ver. 2. I just started ver. 3 today and have to say that, while the game is pretty much the same in the early stages, it still rocks the casbah... Or at least here in Vegas :)

...

thanks guys,
now i was wondering which 1 is easier to handle(for corners...)
i'm a beginner and not so good at it.
thanks

Ive been playing for a while... not too god, but not bad either!

I have 3 Cars:

a WRX GDB (tuning option C)
an RX-7 FC3S (tuning option A - Ryoske's Car)
an EVO 7 (tuning option C)

My WRX is my best one.... but the other two havnt been fully tuned yet!

I have beaten the first 2/3 drivers on every course, but ive only fully cleared Myogi and Usui. :(

I LOVE wet weather racing, esp with the 4wd control of the subaru, the 6th gear also gives that extra punch in the straights. its like a cross between an Evo and a Skyline!
🙂

I rate when you want to select a car you need to try it out first, before u purchase the card. make sure it suits ur style. I like heavy accel out of corners, so thats y i chose 4wd. the RX7 is my FR experiment! 😌

I have some bad news about your GDB. It doesnt handle the corners too well. I was in the tournament in hickory NC and I entered a stock S13. I had to race against a GDB in the first race. I went to shomaru. He had the jump but during the race he couldnt take the turns fast enough so I was able to pass him on the inside. He was actually one of the better racers. I also had to race another one. This one was fully tuned and yet I would catch up because the GDB corners slow. But it is an OK car. The FC is a car that should of been better, it can't turn to well. The evo7 is a good car though, handles well, nice speed. The only problem is that it isn't as good as some of the other evos. If you want a car that can handle the turns the S13 turns better than a truneo (at least in my opinion) but the master of the turns is Bunta's WRX. It mainly depends on whether or not you prefer Grip or Drift cars.

Initial D

I have never played the initial D game. I hear that it is great. But ive seen the anime

Wonder

I was wondering which u guys like using manual or automatic for the gears??

a True Race Driver would use a manual transmission (i use it in Initial D and my real car) but in initial D it doesn't matter too much unless you're racing true skill against skill. although the game is programed to shift at the right points there are advantages to stickshift (ie downshifting before turns and such)

I'd never played this till i went over to japan in october. Every place i went to i played Initial D : Stage 3. I even have my own save game card aswell! that made me really happy!! I wasnt that fast on it, i could beat some of the computer players but i prefered trying to drift round the corners and not hit the guard rails. 🙂
I saw some people with the really fast cars and they were just bashing around all the corners. They did win, but it didnt really seem to have much skill, just foot to the floor and deflecting off the walls.

I spent far too much on that arcade game! XD its ace!!

Porl''

p.s. i liked using manual..even though automatic is easier..

I was just at the local arcade and we have it! I was so geeked cuz I have read the manga and watched the anime... and it actually makes me want to play the game (I am not a big fan of racing games, but I could make an exception). I also really like the idea of a memory/data card so you can save your progress on the arcade game! I can see myself spending alot of money on this one

-------------------------

Can someone tell me how it is I am supposed to get one of the memory/data cards for the game... like, does it come out of the arcade game machine or do I have to get it from one of the workers?

I was also wondering if someone could let me in on what options I have available to me at the very beginning of the game, such as money, cars, upgrades, and whatnot?
