I have only passed through Japan a few times

Although I have been to Japan three times I have stayed less than five days there. I have always been on my way to the Philippines where I lived for a while.

Most of my long life has been spent as a writer and a broadcaster but in recent years I have been teaching conversational English to Koreans in the Philippines and now back home in Canada I do the same thing on line.

I am married to a Filipina and we have three children, plus I have three other children from a former marriage. We try to maintain some Asian traditions in our house but it's not an easy thing to do.

I am fascinated by Japanese culture but there are positives and negatives about every way of life. I have traveled a great deal but I have never found my Shangri-la, I've just come close.

With the winds of spring still raging outside the window here of my little office, I attempt to squeeze one more post in, ignoring the ringing bell telling me I will soon have a class starting. What better a reason is there, than to welcome a new member JREF !!

welcome new person! Shangrila is a famous hotel in Manila, but what about Casino in Bacolod(my hometown)

Cool are there much koreans living now in Manila:? how come i never really found them??

well in Bacolod there are plenty of Nihonjin people and im glad with that. Tagalog isnt really an interesting language you see, its different, i can't explain but it's so fast its allmost 65% spanish then a filipino language

but i found my heaven on earth and now in july im going back.
