Well... Thats the thing, I can read maps. I have 4 maps, and there is map stations everywhere, but its hard to tell.. LOL I am getting hang of it though, I just need to learn Kanji's for where I am going so I know where it is on J-Map's

Tokyo trains are very well marked in roma-ji (roman letters); you shouldn't have to worry about kanji much.

If you are in Shibuya, you can get to Roppongi by taking JR to Ebisu and then take Hibiya-line to Roppongi. Roppongi is actually quite close to Shibuya. About a Y1000 taxi ride. There are also buses that run from Shibuya for Y200 if I remember correctly. But train would be the easiest way to go. If you go with the taxi option, ask to get let off at Roppongi Hills. That will be closer and maybe a little cheaper. You can walk up the road to Roppongi Crossing from there.

and btw, Only JR Rails are marked very good in english / romaji not private Seibu lines.. or Express Ways

Have a great time in Osaka and in Kyoto. Take some pix of Geisha and Maiko (apprentice-stage Geisha)

Take the Shinkansen but there are several types of trains , so get on the fastest one, I believe is the 700-type.

Where should I go to get on the Shinkansen? Shin-Yokohama? and take it to Shin-Osaka? How much does it normally cost, if it is too much I may just do the night bus.

Yes, Shin-Yokohama to Shin-Osaka. Since it cost me 10,000 Yen to go from Osaka to Okayama it will cost you a bit over that one-way for a non-reserved seat. What you have to do is go to the car that is designated for non-reserved seating and hope you get a seat, so go during non-rush hour, or very early in the morning. Of course, reserved seats are more.

The cheaper "red-eye" bus might be a good idea if you're not that interested in riding the famous bullet trains of Japan.
