I think I will make a trip to Ginza tonite or Roppongi, any tips on understanding how to use the fare/ticket system? That has me confused
😌

Easiest thing to do is buy the cheapest ticket the machine has. Get on, go to your destination. Then pay the difference to the ticket taker on the other side.

I learned lol, I paid 500 once, went two stations and never got ticket back. rip off. lol Anyways it is Musashi-Seki Station, I take the Seibu-Shinuku line to here.

Tonite I went to Seibu-Shinjuku station and got off here, I walked around played games at Sigma! 3,000yen I did not know I couldnt cash my coins back into money! :(

Anyways, after fighting the "COME INTO MY CLUB" crowd in Kabukicho. I made it to Mcdonalds and ate, many school girls in there. Very sexy ;) by the way, thanks budd I used your sayings tonite to get home, so much easier! ;)

I will begin uploading my pics, but they are giant.. 5.0 megapixel camera! ;( anyways so i will try to host them on a website, and maybe Maciamo or Thomas can resize and put them in the gallery! WARNING my photography skills suck.

I'm Just Glad To Hear ....

you're still alive!! I had visions of this skeleton in a train seat with a camera still around it neck bone!! REALLY
HAPPY FOR YOU PLAYAA !!

Frank

😊

LOL Frank, its quite funny I know the trains now! Anyways, earlier it was hilarious! The guys dressed in drag... In front of the Komo Stadium they really look like girls, even with thongs showing under their skirts.. It looks like girls. But you can tell by bulk size... and their legs. I had one chase me lol! Though I ended up infront of a batting cage outside of Kabukicho and played in an arcade where you punch this guy and knock him back to see how hard you can punch.. I mde top 5 in 1 try, the arcade crowd was all watching and I am not very big, 5'8 130... :)

So no skeletons in the train frank sorry! :(

By the way, anyone have some sayings for me to say? I need pickup lines to say to hot girls walking by! I don't even know what hello to say. BAH! I say Konnichiwa and then here KonnBanWa from everyone else... ? Any help..

For the people wanting to meet up! I am in Musashiseki.. Maybe the - threw you off the first time. It is like 3-4 stops on the Seibu-Shinjuku line from Takadanobaba. I think after tomorow night I will change hotels to somewhere in city more.. Like Prince or Mansions at Roppongi.. I don't like Ryokan ;( So if you want to meet me, feel free anytime I have to go to Narita to get more yen.. O nly 5,100 yen left. Hope it will get me to Narita, I mostly have American currency. As I only got 80,000 yen to begin with when I got here.

So maybe we can meet in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza? Roppongi? I want to go to Ginza and Shibuya, tomorow.. And Roppongi tomorow night. So I will be everywhere, I must go to Karaoke-kan in Ginza, the one that was in Lost In Translation. :p

Please respond or leave me mobile number...

nonono! narita is only 900 en from new koyo (with discount ticket)
but just to change money? use any bank (ginko) [i used mizuno/mizuho] or something (WILL need passport, i believe)
yet another etchi foreigner trying to wreak havoc on an unsuspecting populace! :p
i am half joking (and can't really criticize anyway) though
ok, ready?

"would you like to have tea - will you not have tea?"
"o-cha shinai?"

excuse me, what time is it?
"sumimasen... nanji des ka?'

if their english is understandable, "eigo umai ne" "your english is good"
there! ... best i could do on such short notice :)

As Budd said, you DON'T need to go to Narita just to change money. Go to any bank. Citibank tends to be more bilingual than others so if you see one, stop in. Or try post office ATM if you have plastic. Man, you're going through money like water through your fingers. It sounds like you've already learned many valuable lessons (such as taxi = expensive). Maybe you can get by cheaper now.

Try using English on the passing girls. For the girls that like foreigners, it will be a turn-on to them. For the girls that know no English, us giving you a few lines won't do you any good anyway if you can't continue the conversation. Though to get some basic interaction going you can try:

sumimasen (soo me ma sen), X wa doko deska?
Excuse me, where is X?
X is whatever you want to say like "train station," "starbucks," "post office," or "pink salon" or whatever.

Or how about:
sumimasen (soo me ma sen), shashin (shah sheen) oh totte (toe teh) ii (ee) deska?
Excuse me, may I take your picture?

And if things are looking good, you can follow up with.
onamae (oh-nah-mah-eh) wa nan deska?
What's your name?

Then the language of love should take over. :)

Actions Speak Louder Than Words !!

By the way, anyone have some sayings for me to say? I need pickup lines to say to hot girls walking by!

You could always try "WAG YOUR WEINIE"!! You could tell us how Japanese police & justice system work!! Might
get some good pictures of cell bars!! I hope you realize how green you are making all of us!!

Frank

:D 😊

"For the girls that know no English, us giving you a few lines won't do you any good anyway if you can't continue the conversation."
very very true

"please break my bill/please exchange my money"
"ryouga-eh shiteh kudasai"
bit of a twister for some folks -- maybe use "otsuri ga kudasai" or someting

No, I do not want to follow in stpes like, ghettocities.. etc. I only want to be able to say hello, would you join me for drink. Or to eat. Things like that. Think positive things not negative lol ;) very funny. I stopped in Mizuono bank yesterday, i found atm does not work. :/ I think tomorow night I am gonna move to the Cerulean Tower in Shibuya..

2 weeks..... :-)

SO.....Tell us more o Playaa one :D .....had some funny moments ?? oh yeah....pics pics pics!!!!

The males in drag trying to get me in front of Komo Stadium. That was hilarious. And then one of my luggage bags fell in between the rail and platform at Shinjuku station.

Do they have the "Beware of third rail" signs at the train stations like in Boston? Haha, I remember that was a running joke between my friends and me when we would go to them. :D :p

My gosh, I went to Shibuya today.. Intimidating... Very Intimidating, I was kinda lost though I am getting better at navigation and trains. I could not find my way to Roppongi before it started raining. Got some more cool pics though, maybe it will stop raining for tonite and I can make it to Roppongi. Any help on how to get to Roppongi?

The better night to go to Roppongi would be tomorrow (Thursday)...it's 400 yen for all drinks.....but it has been a while since I been. Thursday has always been happy hour night for as long as I can remember.

Well... Thats the thing, I can read maps. I have 4 maps, and there is map stations everywhere, but its hard to tell.. LOL I am getting hang of it though, I just need to learn Kanji's for where I am going so I know where it is on J-Map's

Sounds like your doing alright though.....hoping I get to meet you then I can take you around the place a bit or at least some other sites.

Everywhere you go is drinks here, I like Sapporo, I am drinking a Kirin right now. I have fun at the Sunkus sp? maybe Sunrus? store and the ampm.

What are the guys in the bowling pin suites that run around in shibuya? They look hilarious! I got a pic of one, also I think ESPACE is the loudest place I have ever been in.

Do you go to the massive Tower Records building? or to Harajuku (one city over?) Usually lots of good stuff there....I think there is something going on at Tower today or tonight but I forgot...it was on the radio.
