How do you feel about Japanese women only being interested in you cause you are 外人

I've never experienced this because I havent been to japan yet, but I know this happens a lot to foriengers that either stay an extended amount of time or move to Japan. As far as relationships go, how do you guys feel about women that pretend to like you but deep down in your mind you know they only like you because you are a forienger? I know this sounds weird but I think if I ever moved/stayed in Japan for awhile this is something I'd seriously be concerned with. I have no problems getting women in the US, so im sure i'd have no problems over there, but I'd always questioned in the back of my mind if they truely liked me or just dating me to be cool. I'd probably go out of my way to try to date someone who doesnt like foreigners just to be sure that they like me for me and definately not because im a foreigner.

What do you guys think about this issue? I'm I the only one who cares about this stuff? What have you guys done about this?

The population of tokyo is very big so your not really going to bump into the same girl the next day are you?

I wouldn't care either way. If I wanted to be in a relationship with the girl, that would mean that we would have to talk to each other and get to know each other. At that point if she only liked you because you were a foreigner, then she would be gone*. If I didn't want to be in a relationship with the girl, then once again, it wouldn't matter why she liked me.



*The only upsetting thing about this situation would be the sheer number of times that it happened. If this were my 51st time going through the same situation, then I would probably start to be concerned about it. Also, let's not forget that you have a say in the matter as well. If you think that she's an idiot, and don't want to be with an idiot, then you wouldn't be with her, right?

everyone does it.. and if you say you don't then with all probability you're either blind or lieing..

we all have our way of rating another person:
1) first contact for any seeing person is always "how does this person look" so you measure him/her up by that standard.. i'm not saying that's the impression that'll last.. but it is the very first one... is he/she good looking?

2) personality, is she/he an azzhole? this can change the actual appearnace of a person (atleast for me).. next time i see that hot girl that has a personlity like a dungbeatle she's suddenly not so hot... but it may be to late by then =P

3) Compatability: how well does this person match me

4) other preferences i guess... "does he or she smoke/bite nails/etc?"

i made the full list to try and tell you i'm not 100% superficial!

but it all comes down to preference...

now if my Gaijin apperanace happens to appeal to a j-girl, who am i to say she can't pick me because of that?.. it's as good a reason as any..

I'd like it that if they are attracted by the extra-japanese (I mean, we are called Aliens) that they are able to cope with the fact that Nipponichi to us doesn't mean dick. And other things like that 2 % of the world can't just use 'because we do it this way' as an excuse for everything (however, that is sometimes all you need for certain situations, not all.

If you're into a casual f..., and he/she is too, then go for it. I, however, only want to do things with people that have depth.

Figure out soon if Gaijin friend has the emphasis on Gaijin or friend, if the former, then trash it now. Or follow paragraph 2 if you're into that.

Edit: When I go to Japan, it won't be to flaunt to the normals at home that "I got the sexings!"

Hmmm.... looks like I'm outta luck. I'm a J-American. But I don't really think being gaijin "white" has anything to do with why gaijin are so popular. I think it has to do with how the Japanese idolize almost every western culture. Even though I'm Japanese when I went to Japan girls still wanted to get to know me because I was something different. You are almost like a new specimen if you happen to travel to more rural areas. American guys are much different than the guys up in Japan thus making us appealing and interesting.

Anyway I don't think gaijin are "the best they can do" because it all comes down to preference... If a J-Girl likes a J-Dude then great, go for it. And if a J-Girl likes a Gaijin then why not let people choose who they like. What's really the big deal ? I don't see what the problem is with Gaijin and J-Girls ebing together. I see on some websites like "We need to stop the foreigners from taking our women" lmao.. which is blatantly untrue, it takes two people. Once again, let me say, let people be with who they choose, and live your own life. So J-Dudes You do not own the women of your race, everyone is free to do what they choose.. lol.. Everything is always race related -_- we really need to quit that kind of crap.

But yeh I have heard that being a Gaijin can help with J-Girls or whatever.. but like I said before.. I get girls here so I don't think it will be much difference when I go to Japan.. I can't help my boyish good-looks and they shall be liking me for more than just being a foreigner..
