Indirectly, Google. On another forum I used to go to, some people were sick of being ostracized for starting way too many critical thinking threads that caused everyone to hate... everyone. They told each other to go to the JREF forums (though they were probably talking about J. R. Edgar Hoover, not these). I just googled that term out of curiosity. Being, well... me, the rest is history.

I googled this site, but used to post on Japan Forum before.

Japan forum is full of weeaboo's who do nothing but repeat the same old tripe day in and day out.

I'm posting on here after a break to start picking up tips on grammar and particles.

I Googled for specific pictures on Japan for a project of mine, but ended up staying around!

I found this forum through Google, as I was actually searching for a Chinese forum. I would like to go to Shanghai to watch the solar eclips on 22nd of July 2009, and need some local information, weather first of all, - see topic in Chinese part of this forum.
Also I was hoping, that other eclips travellers could meet on this forum - like we did last year in Novosibirsk (Siberia).
I will certainly explore the rest of this forum, looks very intersting.

I joined because I was looking for a Japanese pen pal on google and stumbled across this wealth of knowledge :D

I found it on Google, I was searching for forum where I can find people with the same interests I have.

This is the first that came up. And it looked interesting, so I decided to join.

I was googling for information on quality of life in Japan and one of the first results were from JREF. I looked at it and since I found interesting information and so many topics about Japan here, I've decided to register in order to solve and clarify issues and to learn new things as well.
