Honey and Clover: The Live Action Movie

...ooookay, well... I didn't like it.

I've seen the entire anime series, and love it. I was searching for the box set at a store, and found the Live movie. Bought it, watched it. *Some* of the characters were just right - others were very dissapointing.. but even so, the movie as a 'summary' of the first anime series could have pulled it off..

But whichever team got together to clip-and-knit the key aspects of the story did a poorly planned job. A lot of key scenes, character turning-points that were significant in the original story were ingored, leaving the movie to seem like ongoing babble.

I shall continue to pursue my first goal, which was anime's First-Series Boxset.

On another note, though, the live-action serires of "Nodame Cantablie" was excellently done along-side of its anime series!! Both are very much worth checking out.

Me too. I didn't specially like it. I prefer the ANIME.
But I don't mean it was a bad movie.
The live movie was lacking in the ANIME's humor sense. Maybe we both were expecting a movie with more funny situations. It turned out to be too melancholic.
There are good movies based on ANIME. I liked both NANA's ANIME and NANA's movies. And, as you say, Nodame Cantabile is a wonderful serial as well as the live version with special effects to emphasize the comical situations and quite accurate according to the ANIME version.
GTO is another example of good job with the ANIME and the Live-action versions.
